The Jolly Fryer

The best Fish and Chip shop in Wisbech by far. I had the cod and chips - neither their fish or chips were greasy, served piping hot by very friendly staff.

The wife had loaded chips (salted chilli chicken) and they were delicious.

Serving staff were quick to take the order and our food arrived within 5 minutes.

You can’t argue with their fish and chips definitely the best in Wisbech. You would have to travel 30 miles to the coast to find anyone that can compete with the Jolly fryer fish and chips.

Very impressed indeed how they organised themselves at the beginning of Covid to protect their staff and their customers. Well done.
We enjoy Haddock and Chips. Quality and size. None better in our experience.
Service. you need to go and experience it.

Love the fish and batter and I am not a huge fish fan. Lovely chips too. Will definetly be back. Portion sizes are also really good.

Should be 6* probably the best fish and chips I've ever eaten! Been visiting Wisbech for a few years now and this place has never changed always excellent! Great staff such quick service long may it last!

Best fish & chips in town as far as I'm concerned. Good system for ordering, so the wait's not too long. Can't comment on the atmosphere as I had takeaway, but the staff are friendly and polite.

This has become a bit of a Friday night tradition in our house. The service is fantastic even when it's super busy they get the line moving as fast as they can. Food is always super fresh and enjoyable. 😋

A most reasonable repast, in a delightful part of Wisbech. A freshly cooked fish supper, complete with a pot of tea for two..

Group of 5 were stopping on the river marina near by. Last night we had 2 cod 3 haddock with chips and mushy peas, plus a bit bag of scraps for good measure. The food was brilliant. Tasty hot cooked to order and great size portions. It probably the best fish and chips i have ever had. Thanks for the delicious meal. 100 percent recommended.

The Jolly Fryer is definitely the best Fish & Chip shop/restaurant we've ever been to.
People travel from all over the Fens to eat at this excellent restaurant.

Fantastic service and friendly staff i go in at least twice a week for my mum as she loves her haddock and chips, i do not need to ask now as they know my face. Mum always enjoys her fish and chips and myself as a family now use this shop as there food is really lovely and you get your moneys worth. Best around for miles.

Great food. Best chips for 20 miles, hands down. Also, it is very reasonably priced as a family of 4 ate here for about £16 fair enough. My youngest shared with my partner, but we had ample food. Sadly, the seating area is closed, but sitting in the car eating chips this good is not a chore.
