What an absolutely amazing place, we were staying at the caravan site in otterington Park and too my niece and nephew for a look around after calling to confirm if we could and the lady said yes, lots to see from fish, rabbits, spiders, insects, snakes, lizards, turtles, chinchillas, ferrits, goats, chickens it was amazing and the staff were so helpful, the young lad was so knowledgeable and even brought the spiders down for my niece and nephew to have a close up. I don't think they would have been bothered if we didn't buy anything but we did we bought dog treats and had drinks and ice cream at the little cafe which also had a children's play area and interesting pond plants, there is a section at the back which we were advised we were not allowed in due to them being boarding animals but what an amazing place I wish it was bigger and we could have stayed longer! I felt like a big kid it was fantastic!

I came in here for the first time last night after work, I was really hoping to make it before closing time but the journey was so long that we arrived at 5:59pm. We called a little in advance and they very kindly said they would wait for us!!
I barely got a chance to look around due to the time but what I did see was really impressive. Beautiful pet shop and aquatics place, the fish are of excellent quality. I took home these awesome and tiny Rainbow Shiners who have settled in very nicely! They were attempting to feed from the moment I put them into the tank.
All around lovely place, lovely staff and can't wait to go back and spend some proper time here! Thank you so much for taking the time for us outside of work hours and for all the fish chat.

Really knowledgeable about the exotic pets they carry. They have a wonderful variety of fish suited to both cold and tropical water temperature. In addition to these there are rabbits, mice and hamsters to become your family furever friend. There is also a wide range of foods and treatments for ani als, fish and ponds.

So pleased to discover this amazing shop!! We strongly recommend it!! Lady so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
The shop is well stocked and they will endeavour to obtain anything you request should they not have it.

We booked our own birthday party after really enjoying a friend’s party. The staff were incredible. So professional, calm, kind, knowledgeable. The animals were all clean, calm and well cared for. Everyone had a fabulous time. Very reasonable rates for a brilliant party. Thank you very much.

Great selection of fish and dry goods. Staff were very friendly. We also enjoyed the reptile room and guinea pigs.

Took my 6 year old son to a " Meet the animals " session and he loved it. He got to hold snakes , lizards , tortoise even a Preying Mantis . The price was great and the staff were amazing , a young man and a lady with " amazing hair " my sons words! Really knowledgeable, and had his face painted as well , will definitely come again !! Love this place. A place to go for your pond equipment , pond plants and your fish.
All the staff are really friendly and their knowledge is next to none .

We have used this place a couple of times, very different from the normal high street style pet shops. This a is a propper pet shop with propper fans of what they sell and care for. James that served us is a real people person and fantastic with the kids and has a real happy vibe about been around him and knows the answer to any question and happy to answer any you ask him. What a treasure he is to the shop and the shop is a treasure to find and use !

Wonderful week at Thirsk Parent, Baby and Toddler with Conor, Megan and Kim along with loads of animals, a lot of fun was had, little ones stroking and holding a great range of creatures from soft and fluffy rabbits and chinchillas to snakes, lizards and spiders. Good selection of products for reptiles and fish , we needed a bulb for a bearded dragon and had called everywhere locally no where stocked the bulb we needed apart from here , we've been a few times since , staff friendly and knowledgeable
