Amazing views
I usually walk around the quiet place around the cottages and also to the bottom by the beach

I didn’t review at the time I went in May 2022 but should have as it was fantastic to visit this cafe in this beautiful place. We loved everything. The cafe is part of the rescued old mining village and next to a gorgeous beach with old ruins. It’s a stunning location. The drive to the cafe/old mining village was great, too.

The coffee and cake are excellent. Very friendly cafe. Pop back later and see the sunset from the beach.

Just popped in for a drink and a scone.
I love visiting this valley and the café. The staff are always polite and helpful and the food is always fresh and delicious.
There is plenty of seating and a small section selling cards and local guide books.
The café has enlarged over the years and has views looking towards the coast.
There are two entrances, one down some steps and the other on the side facing the coast with an automatic door and wheelchair access.

Beautiful tucked away gem! The views are breathtaking and some may think the drive down to it is as well but for different reasons, the road is a zig zag of a steep rollercoaster ride...I personally loved it Haha!
The cafe staff are friendly and helpful, all up to date with gov guidelines.
Family benches and tables spread around, there's a walk down to the beach...very steep! There are other walks dotted about as well.
Dogs welcome on leads but not inside the cafe itself.
parking is free but there is a donation box for those that wish to pop in a few pounds.

REALLY lovely place to visit, we only went for the Cafe but the whole village experience was SO good finding out about the years gone by with the granite mines & the families. What a great transformation of the place & such a good use, so found it very informative. You can also access the beach & see the wildlife which you have information boards on too. Excellent trip out all round for all families & ages. Scenery is stunning on the drive in & out

Just lovely! Very steep drive down to the village car park, then a small walk to the cafe. Beautiful views along the coast and out to sea. We paid £14 for a luxury hot chocolate, children's luxury hot chocolate, cream tea for 1, slice of flapjack and slice of tea bread, all of which was hastily consumed! Reasonably priced given the location.

Beautiful spot to spend an hour or two. Lovely terrace and building. Wonderful view. Part of a nicely restored and extended Quarry village on the coast. Also there is some sculpture and also goats.

Aug 2020: Nice location on a sunny day.
Long way down some hair pin bends, so just as well there was parking available..!!
Serve hot food during the afternoon, though cakes looked good as well.

Great location, great food and service. Steep walk or drive down but worth it. Loads of industrial history in a beautiful setting.

Wonderful place, complemented by lovely food. Looking forward to going back.
It's a steep hill to walk down, and quite a challenge to get back up, so the car may be the best way to do it. :)

We only stopped for a coffees and a scone whilst out for a walk. But the smell of food was tremendous. They were both very good especially the scone. It was a lovely sunny day so we sat outside. Great service very clean restaurant 👌
