Lovely Sunday lunch, huge portions. Staff are great; very friendly & nothing was too much trouble

Had a nice meal here.

On a Wednesday evening the open half of the restaurant was full and lively. The service was quick and friendly. The food was fresh and tasty. Recommend if you happen to be in the area.

A wholesome restaurant, in a quaint small hamlet in beautiful countryside. The staff were the upmost attentive and incredible friendly.
My partner and I, enjoyed a Sunday Lunch. We both had the beef featherblade, which was probably the most tender beef I have ever had. It melted like butter in our mouths. It was complimented with the traditional trimmings of a Sunday lunch, the stand out being the roasted carrots. They were sweet, tender but textured - a real taste sensation.
The meal was topped with a thick Yorkshire pudding, which I wish I ordered a second.

My only - and very minor - criticism is the gravy could have had some extra salt and could have been thicker (however that is more of a personal preference).

A stellar meal, in a stellar restaurant / location. Highly recommend to anyone passing through or living locally. Tremendous.

Consistently good. Both food and service are always great. Good selection of pizza with the best being the diavolo I think it’s called.
Potato skins also always been a classic!
They are also happy to accommodate for occasions etc.

A nice Italians, always a good place to eat at short notice. Chief special frequently have something different to try and some discounts from main menu if early lunch - afternoon. Staff always polite and courteous.
Just note that Sundays the kitchen closes at 6 pm.

Booking online was very simple, atmosphere was lovely and the food delicious. What sets Sale Pepe apart is the level of service, it's all incredibly slick, everyone knows what they're doing and do it well. You're never bothered with over the top service, but when you need something there's always someone there, as if by magic. Not an easy thing to do

It's always a warm welcome at Sale Pepe with excellent food. It's been a favourite place to celebrate for about 20 years now!

The only thing that could be improved would be a few soft furnishings in the main dining area to help with the acoustics.

Probably the best Italian food I've had in England. Definitely the best garlic mushrooms. Friendly and helpful staff but not over the top. Definitely recommend.

Was a quiet Saturday lunch time and we were well looked after.
I rarely go for the calzone but wanted something different for me, and it was really nice with a generous serving of parmesan... Yummy...
Now.... Let me talk about th Pavlova....
WOW! I nearly offered another one!
It was just delicious...
So, of course I'll come back!
And I've already chosen my dessert! 😋

First class food, gets better and better each time we visit (and we've been a lot). Excellent value for money and always a friendly service. A truly hidden gem in a beautiful village setting. We recommend the Calamari, Goats cheese or Garlic bread as a starter (see photo).

Haven't patronised this restaurant for a few years. Our visit tonight was a real treat. The food was excellent. Staff were friendly and efficient. Lovely atmosphere on a snowy evening. Will definitely be back.

Lovely place, we had a seat in the lounge area where is was quieter, the place was packed.

Food was delicious and the elderly gentleman who was waiting-on was an absolute super star.

Wonderful Italian restaurant. I had the pear & cheese pasta parcels and they were delicious. All of our party enjoyed their meals. Quick service, didn't wait very long at all. Very clean, nicely decorated, lovely atmosphere. Would happily go back and work my way through the menu!
