Me and my family went to this place last week and i couldn't believe how nice the dinner and staff were. It's just a shame you're so far away because i'd be going every week. I'll definitely pop back when i'm in the area it's the best dinner i've ever had it was absolutely beautiful.It beats the Stables just before Whitby about 15 years ago you won't get better thanks.

Beautiful restaurant and bar! The food portions are very generous whilst still keeping the price's exceptionally reasonable. I've been twice now in two weeks and I can fast see this becoming my local!

This place was recommended by the manager of Hotel 52 down the road and it didn't disappoint. Staff were very attentive, even offering to move me to a table with a better view when one became available! The dumplings n mince was also recommended; it was delicious.

Five of us came for food Wednesday night. The food was beautiful, service was great, all the staff very friendly and courteous. We were having such a pleasant time we ended up staying for the quiz. Very well ran with a good range of questions for all abilities and a right good laugh. Great night was had by all and we won't hesitate to return or recommend. Thankyou

I have to say,for a salad. I loved the presentation,the taste was immense, very happy with my choice... great little place, car park available, children more than welcome and wheelchair access.. lovely and warm pub

As a group of 4 looking for a lovely meal and drinks we were highly satisfied by the customer service of the waiter/bar staff (i’m sorry we don’t know ur name but you were amazing!). The food was wonderful and the range of drinks and drink promotions (2 4 1 cocktails) were great. Would definitely recommend and come back again🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

Christine and her staff we as welcoming as always, the table service was fast and easy through the app and great to see people enjoying themselves again

Friendly staff and food is lovely good portions a chilled place to have a drink or two and a catch up with family and friends. Toilets clean and a car park views are lovely. You can eat in or out. Its on a bus route. enjoy your visitor

Absolutely gorgeous staff fresh faced and polite and hospitable with a lovely atmosphere to a fault couldnt possibly ask for a better service. Gina absolutely gorgeous food (chef) I recommend the pulled pork bao buns with Gina's special sauce tell her tasha sent you. Sam new landlady colourful warm and welcoming and makes a fantastic cocktail. Interacts with her patrons and shows serious potential in the community owning such a well known establishment. Compliments and all the future custom to the staff and fantastic sign artist layla who was commissioned and met today who was lovely. I have posted on facebook and to all my friends. 100% reccomend. Thanks for having us. We will be back..... x

I've gone in the ox for a number of years when both Christine and Malcolm have been there .
I have always found the food and service to be of a excellent standard. The staff ensure your visit is exceptional . The quality of food that is used is if a good standard and exceptionally cheap. Both licensee and staff will bend over backwards to ensure your visit is pleasant. Both staff and management will ensure nothing is a bother for all customers and have changed the menu to meet my individual needs.
I have had sandwiches, starters, special boards and steaks and have always had value for money .

Love this pub, great food, good value drinks. Live bands on at the weekends. Also amazing staff, especially Sophie, she is the best bar maid ever so happy and friendly!!!
