Helpful and friendly garage. Assisted service is brilliant and brings a smile to your face. Honest and trustworthy people that do good work at fair prices.

Visited a week or so ago with a mate mid bike ride... We were delighted to find that this garage now sells warmed pies/bakes & has a coffee machine too 🥳 Really welcome on a cold day. The lady behind the counter was really friendly & helpful, as was the owner who we chatted to outside. Definitely a place to add to my internal 'snack nav' for a pit stop during bike rides over that way.

Great family run business, for fuel, they still provide a personal service to fill your car or self service when busy. Full workshop on site and new fit out in the petrol station shop means you can pick up a snack, coffee or basic groceries. Highly recommended.

Whilst visiting beautiful Yorkshire. We unfortunately got a puncture in one of our tyres. We were travelling back from Whitby to the otherside of Richmond. The puncture happened half way. Fortunately, we had a space saver spare wheel which I changed. But we were then left with the dilemma of having to drive 320miles home two days later on a space saver wheel!! But as we gingerly travelled back towards Richmond we passed Coates garage. As it was 620pm it was past their closing time. But I pulled in and was greeted by the friendly owner. Who said he could order a new tyre and fit it the next day. What an absolute gentlemen. True to his word we returned the next day and the work was completed. Thankyou Coates garage. Highly recommended.

A very nice lady came out to fill the car with diesel. Never had service like this since the seventies. Brilliant.
