Last minute decision to call and hopefully book a table! Venue unable to accommodate our preferred time, but happy with alternative - it was last minute!
What a great choice of venue. Plenty of options on the menu as well as a good selection of drinks.
I had the mushroom and sun-dried tomatoes linguine with pesto, a creamy sauce and parmesan.
It looked fabulous, and being so eager to tuck in I forgot to take a pic! It tasted delicious, accompanied by two generous slices of garlic and cheesy bread.
Finished off with a lovely blackcurrant and prosecco cheesecake - I managed a pic this time!
Value for money - would definitely come here again.

We called for lunch on a lovely sunny day and of course sat outside. I ordered a roll with avocado and feta cheese. To sum up it was delicious! Something totally different than the normal run of the mill fillings. I’m going to call again hopefully for the same! Cappuccino was also very good.

The bar staff and the customers were very helpful and pleasant, as I am visually impaired I needed some assistance and they were all really forthcoming and helped me where they could.

When I discovered this place by the marina, I thought people came here mainly for the atmosphere and the opportunity to observe the open space at the mouth of the river. However, the dinner was amazing! The swordfish is a very good size, perfectly cooked (a real hearty steak), nice texture, no aftertaste and with a good selection of juicy vegetables.
The service is impeccable.

Fantastic place to eat, the manager is so professional and friendly, would eat every night if we lived in Nayland. You must try it, the menus is so large and amazing food, can't wait to go back again soon. Seafood platter is to dry for.

Food from The Bar is ALWAYS delicious! Never ever had a bad meal - every time it's so scrumptious and fresh - service is great, prices are good, decor is great. Highly recommend!!

Went to the Bar on Saturday as part of a Christmas staff party. Service was great and the food was great. The festive Beef burger was incredible and the homemade chips were yummy. Great atmosphere too would definitely recommend and will be back.

We had prawn salad and steak pie with chips for lunch. Affogato and coffee for dessert. Consistently good service and food. Great views and now there's a lift!

7 of us went for evening meal, the food was absolutely fabulous. The service excellent, the staff are so friendly. Will definitely go back soon.

Has a wide range of options including veggie and vegan, and huge portions! The service was lovely, and the food was amazing. The setting is beautiful too, definitely worth a visit

The Bar is in a great location, nestled above Neyland Marina.

We had an extremely warm welcome and had a drink at the bar first. There’s a great choice of drinks.

Bearing in mind it was a cold Tuesday February evening, the place was pretty full with a good atmosphere.

The menu was very extensive, maybe too much if being a little critical. I always question the ability of the kitchen to have that many freshly cooked items available given the number of tables.

That said my bream dish which was obviously freshly cooked was incredible.

My friend had fish and chips, which was just as good.

I would happily recommend The Bar.

The only complaint is that the garlic bread side dish wasn't cooked enough, as in it was soft, not crunchy, and it needed some parsley.

Nice meal... portions could have been bigger when the prices are considered, however.

Everything was fresh and tasty. Place was clean and food service was prompt.

Polite and friendly staff in an all-round nice venue shame it was dark as we'd have had a nice view of the marina.

I would go again in a flash... and happily recommend to all.
