Apple Tree Hotel

Simon and the team really made us feel welcome for our three night stay.

I stayed in room six which had a TV and a full size bath in the bathroom. Although the hotel is dated in places, it's super clean and welcoming and the food is home cooked. I can truly recommend the poached eggs for breakfast.

Although it is situated on a busy "B" road the road noise is not too bad and generally disappears around 21.00 hrs.

Overall a very pleasant stay with ample free parking and a small bar. I will definitely consider staying here again

Awesome hosts and staff, very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. My room was a nice cozy space with an extremely comfortable bed. I found the floors to be very creaky (Normal for the type of building) which made me conscious of neighboring guests but it didn't put a damper on my experience. I will definitely be back but for longer next time.

My family and I stayed at the Apple tree hotel to attend a wedding at The Quantock hills venue, it was very convenient as it was 3 minutes by car. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and were perfect for our two nights stay. Breakfast was fantastic, the service was first class and we had everything we needed. Simon the owner was amazing and he offered to drive us to the venue on the day of the wedding instead of getting a taxi, we ended up taking our car and he drove it back for us. I can't praise him enough for being so helpful. If I'm in the area again will definitely stay there.

Not what you get from bigger hotel chains, their more the clinical soulless side.
Food was top notch cooked how you liked.
Nothing was to much for the staff they helped at every part of the stay.

Hi Simon and Gill great place to stay, lovely accommodation extremely clean cleanliness ten out of ten. Hosts very accommodating and hospitable. Enjoyed my stay and will be back with other friends stayed in room 15 very spacious. GREAT STAY thank you. Know as Claire stayed 22/9/21 to departing 25/9/21. Good price. Had couple of evening meals here beautiful food and great choices at breakfast. Best of all accommodated for dietary needs with oat milk.

A lovely small family run hotel . Bit like a home from home, comfortable rooms and good food. We use this hotel often as a half way mark to Cornwall. Very welcoming and friendly and in a good location to explore the surrounding area and attractions.

We have just spend 4 very comfortably nights at this lovely hotel. Very friendly owners and equally friendly staff .It is a clean and pleasant hotel. We can recommend the breakfast and evening meals. You do need to book for evening meals as it gets booked up and of course that is because the food is delicious and plentiful.
It AA ⭐⭐⭐ but we feel its at the very top end of that rating

Really lovely staff, Simon very kindly gave us a lift to the wedding we were attending down the road to save us taxi money! Breakfast was great and had a couple drinks at the cosy and comfortable bar. Comfy bed and good shower. Room was exceptionally clean. Shame we were only here for one night!

This hotel came up 100% trumps. We were down for a wedding but before that I had broken my ankle, leg very badly so needed a room on a ground floor. The room was more than perfect for us. We had to get to the church so when I called down to get a taxi the owners said they would take us. We were extremely grateful for their kindness and it gave us one less thing to worry about! Our breakfast the next day was simply delicious. We can't recommend this sweet hotel more highly. Thank you to you both.

Owner Simon and wife such lovely people. Nothing too much, so helpful and friendly. Staff equally good. Exceptionally clean throughout. Strict covid rules apply and are adhered to. Food very good quality and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back.

Had an amazing two day stay at Apple Tree hotel. Simon and his staff looked after my family so well. Food was lovely and we all enjoyed sitting in cosy bar area chin-wagging and drinking. Would recommend the hotel for a quiet break.

On arrival to the apple tree hotel we came a little early due to how far we were travelling from, That wasn’t a problem for the friendly staff and let us check in straight away, the morning of our arrival we were supplied with the most beautiful breakfast, we were checked in to a garden view room our room was very cleaning and cosy, we continued to have breakfast for the two night we booked for it never failed to impress, we enjoyed our stay that much we asked if we could keep our room on for an extra night to continue our little holiday, nothing was to much hassle for the lovely owners, they made us feel so so welcome and made our stay that little more special the location is so beautiful, it’s safe to say we will be back to stay in the future thank you for making our holiday special it was so lovely to have met such lovely people

First time staying at the Apple Tree Hotel whilst working in the area, I will definitely be back. I can’t recommend enough, Simon was lovely, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms feel like home from home and it’s in a beautiful location. I had both breakfast and evening meal, can’t fault the quality or the cooking as they were both fab. Think I’ve found my new favourite place to stay when I work in Bridgewater again 😊

Lovely place, great food and rooms at reasonable prices. The hosts were very kind and would bend over backwards for you will definitely visit again.

Nice hotel with nice staff. Creeky floorboards and a fiddly room key would be my only criticism.
