Put my Jaguar F Type V8 in last week for its annual MOT and service and also had a new headlight fitted. The workshop staff did a fantastic job very efficiently. The whole service experience couldn’t be faulted , much better than the main dealer and I will definitely be using them again.

When searching for a Freelander 2 for my wife I came across this advert. 10 years old, immaculate condition, only 26k miles, full service history and owned by one family from new. It screamed buyer beware but I took a leap of faith and rang Grahame at newmachar motors. To put this review in context I was 300miles away, I would be buying this car without seeing it and arranging for another company to pick it up and deliver it to me. I spoke to Grahame for an hour on the phone and I came away thinking it was like talking to a friend of the family nothing was too much trouble and when the car arrived it exceeding my expectations. This is not a main dealership but a small family firm run by genuine people selling genuine cars at realistic prices. I highly recommend them so give them a try and you won’t be disappointed. 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Fantastic service from a very nice friendly and efficient family firm. My car suffered serious mechanical fault ( no fault whatsoever of the dealer) however after hearing my plight they organised the repair, and also provided a loan car which was a tremendous boost. I would recommend this garage to everyone. It pays to shop out of town, that’s for sure.

Delighted with the low mileage Ford Fiesta I just bought after my old car died on Monday on the way back from Caithness. What can I say!
Just back from touring Europe clocking just over 3400mls in a car just purchased the week before we left from Newmachar Motors.
Great communication and service throughout and prior to pick up the car Newmachar Motors had carried out an extensive health check, full service including brakes and all filters.
Brian, Graham, and the team ensured we had superb holiday of faultless trouble-free motoring driving through the Netherlands, France and through the Alps to Italy then crossing to Southern Spain then a 48 hr journey back to the North East of Scotland via Plymouth, back driving on the poorest road network we had encountered as we headed home.
But even in the UK it was a joy travelling in a beautiful well-prepared car that didn’t miss a beat for those four weeks ensuring we had the trip of a lifetime

While not visiting here physically, I did make online contact and thereafter received a phonecall from Graham, who excellently represented the Company. My interest in a used Peugeot 208, resulted in a very open, honest and informative conversation, leaving me feeling nothing would be too much for them. After a number of other calls to garages, where the owners and sales staff quite literally lied and attempted to 'pull the wool', Graham's approach was very refreshing. As it happens, we actually purchased a car from another garage, who presented themselves in a similar professional and welcoming manner. If you are looking for a car, I highly recommend contacting them. As an aside the car we were looking at was reserved by another within days - their stock is very good and on a par with their communication. Excellent, :-)

Great experience. I had gone to a few big garages looking for a specific car before finding the perfect one at Newmachar Motors. The experience here was 100x better. Good family run business and they know their stuff.
Part exchanged my car and got a great price, new car was washed as I came in to collect and one of the people showed me how to use the music system etc before driving off.

Excellent experience start to finish, will be taking my car back to them if I need any work done.

I live in West Wales and I travelled to Aberdeen to collect a car from Newmachar Motors. Part of my journey was by train and most of it by airplane.
The logistics, preparation and cost for such a trip are quite big, therefore I wanted to make certain the car would be thoroughly checked, prepped and tested prior to my arrival there. To ascertain that, I have spent considerable amount of time in phone conversations and email exchanges with Newmachar Motors to make sure the car was up to my expectations and adhering to the checklist I had requested them to go through.
My experience regarding the conversations, interaction and dealings with the owner – Brian, his wife – Shonaid and the mechanic – David go beyond enjoyable and satisfactory. It was one of the most delightful and pleasing encounters I’ve ever had.
I struggle to find words to describe the gregarious and utmost friendly nature of Brian. I believe Brian is one of the most trustworthy, honest and decent individuals in the whole country. Brian was exceptionally patient and polite the whole time, responded to all my queries that I had in advance and delivered on everything we have agreed on. At the same time, he never attempted to describe the car to me, apart from the photos he sent me, as the interpretation of condition varies and might be subjective.
Brian and his mechanic David prepared the car by doing major servicing, including transmission fluid, MOT, brakes maintenance and much more. Due to the distance, I had to do the journey with a hotel sleepover at Aberdeen airport and Brian kindly picked me up the next morning. A small family business, his premises are spotless – extremely clean and cosy, yet very professional.
When I have first seen the car, its mere appearance caused a huge smile on my face - it was gorgeous and extremely exciting – absolute beauty! The condition was beyond what I expected – exceptionally well maintained and looked after – supreme automobile. I was ecstatic that my expectations were not only met, but the deal was actually much better than anticipated. The test drive only amplified my excitement and made the smile even bigger!
Due to charges on debit/credit cards the payment is via bank transfer. I would advise buyers to respect this family business and make sure your bank is ready to release the funds you order via transfer immediately.
I drove the car back to Wales myself, which took me 9 hours and I utterly enjoyed every minute of the 500 miles journey.
I wish I don’t sound sentimental, but I can’t help it - thank you Brian for being such a good professional and an honest person with a warm heart and fun sense of humour! I am not sure what I have enjoyed more – the interaction with yourself or the fascinating car you provided me with!

I was on the hunt for a new car and this time around I really did not know what I wanted. I drove a vehicle and then spent a long time talking with Brian, I found him to be very professional, friendly and really honest man, who did not put on the typical sales pitch and feed you garbage just to buy a car.
I then went to a few other dealers to test drive some more cars and there I was met with typical salesman garbage, I then returned to Newmachar motors.
I test drove another 2 cars and the original car I drove the first time around, Brian was very patient with me, I then purchased the original car I drove the week before.
I was away for business for the following week and agreed I could pick up the car on my return.
The car looked immaculate, super shiny, serviced and looking top class! The service and advise I received from Brian was fantastic.
We told them that we were planning a trip to west coast of Scotland, nervous about the midges, Shonaid brought us a bottle of spray to use. This was really unexpected and just shows the level of personalisation and care that they have towards their customers.
I would highly recommend this family run business, they are all lovely, down to earth, caring and professional people.
I will definitely use them for my annual MOT and servicing. Thank you Brian and Shonaid for making my experience seemless.

I bought a vehicle from them 5 months ago and noticed a few days later that one of the door/trim lights wasn’t working. I asked Newmachar motors to help (thinking they might say it was my problem to be honest) but they quickly tried to source the right part from Mitsubishi who said there was a shortage. In the end NM went via a different supplier to get the part for me and had it delivered to my house- all free of charge. There was also a missing bolt on the car and they covered the cost of replacing it by transferring the £50 to my bank account. I was very impressed with their after sales support and I would recommend them as a trustworthy second hand car dealership- of which there arnt too many. I dealt with graeme throughout who was great, but as its a family business i’d imagine they’re all cut from the same cloth. They gave me a good price for the car I traded in and asked a fair price for the one I bought - no complaints all round. I am from Elgin.

Bought our second car from Newmachar Motors. They were super friendly and helpful, answered all of our questions, and gave us advice about other cars we were looking at.
The day of the sale they were kind enough to pick us up from the train station. The road tax and MOT were taken care of and they'd also serviced it. They ended up replacing the tires because they noticed one was wearing out. They went above and beyond through out the whole process and we always felt taken care of instead of pressured.

Went out to see a 65 plate fiesta for a friend of mine car was very well presented and had been fully serviced.
Road test arranged and it drove like it should.
Checked over paperwork and had a deal after all was in order.
5 star garage would recommend to anyone looking for a local country garage that is not looking to rip you off. Unlike the big dealerships.

I'm going to be perfectly honest with you. I planned to test drive a car, thank them for their time and buy it cheaper online. The test drive was performed safely and the only complaint I have is that the car's cupholders wouldn't hold the cup I brought. After the test drive they were not pushy. I checked online and could not find a single price which beat theirs. I came back and bought the car. All very easy. As I left, I noticed that they had placed a travel bottle which fit nicely in the cupholders. It is a branded bottle, with Newmachar Motors - business is business. Every time I drink from it, I will remember a great experience, buying a great car at the best possible price.
