Loved this guesthouse in Settle, it was right in the centre, a spacious room with a lovely bathroom, great shower and really good toiletries. The bed was really comfy too. The owner was very helpful with local tips for meals and walks (Talbot Arms next door for good food).
An excellent cooked breakfast was included too. We’ll definitely return next time we’re in the area.

Fantastic guesthouse in the heart of Settle, just look out for the proud Eagle above the front door.
Really comfortable rooms with excellent and very welcome showers after a long hot day's walking on the Dales High Way.
Helpful, knowledgeable owners who are happy to accommodate early-starters and provide packed lunches. Lovely breakfast with lots of options that I'll have to try when staying for more than one night.
Will definitely stay again.

Couldn't have wished for anything better!
Jackie and Chris are excellent kind hearted hosts, their B&B is welcoming, clean and warm. The showers are great and such a welcome after a hard day walking. The bedrooms are clean, fresh and impeccable. After a great nights sleep, we had a wonderful breakfast including homemade bread and preserves in addition to anything else you wanted ranging from porridge to a full English. On the day I didn't want breakfast Jackie packed me off with homemade flapjack - delicious and such a kind thought. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Highly recommended. Perfect for what I needed and very good value for money. I stayed here for my first overnight stop whilst cycling "The Way of the Roses" and I would recommend the King William to any fellow cyclists. Great location in the center of Settle. Lovely, charming period house that is very clean and obviously very well cared for. Very friendly and hospitable welcome. Very comfortable bed. Great breakfast. And the Talbot Arms is just a few yards away - a great pub with excellent ale & friendly staff, where I had a very tasty dinner.

Absolutely fantastic! Stayed just the one night as part of a cycle trip completing the Way of the Roses. The hosts could not do enough for us from storing our bikes to the fresh milk for tea when we arrived. The room was so comfortable and the shower and toiletries and fluffy towels much appreciated after a long day on the bike! Settle itself ,having never been before has made me want to revisit and explore again sometime but I'm not too sure I want to cycle up that hill again 😝

I had a very pleasant stay in this beautiful guest house in Settle. I slept in a comfortable room on the top floor with a good shower. The hosts, Jackie and Chris, are kind and hospitable and I found it really nice to talk to them about all sorts of things. Jackie’s tasteful flapjacks helped me through some energy dips up there on those barren hills of the Yorkshire Dales.

This Guest House has everything you would need and much more. A lovely, cosy bed. A well appointed bathroom with a jacuzzi. Perfect after a long walk. There is also a fridge for keeping the wine cool. The breakfasts were brilliant with fresh fruit. Full English. But also smoked salmon and kippers as well. Would thoroughly recommend as a base for walking or cycling. The hosts were perfect. A good pub doors away.

Stayed here over Easter (Flying Herbert Room). Really friendly B and B. Rooms were very cosy, well-kept and breakfast particularly was really good. Hosts are cheerful and helpful -- ask them for help if you get stuck on where to go for walks or what places to visit in the vicinity. Will definitely be coming back. Plus point: next to Talbot Arms next door, which has great beer and pub food

Stayed here while cycling with Peak Tours. Very friendly. Allowed me the use of their cleaning products to service my bike. Took my wet cycling shoes and covers to dry overnight. Comfortable room with a good hot shower. Good breakfast. Located in the center of Settle close to pubs and restaurants.

Gorgeous B&B. Very comfortable rooms, clean and modern bathrooms. The breakfasts are superb with many options to suit all. My friend and I stayed the night before we did the 3 peaks. We had and early breakfast and nothing was a problem. Iced water for our bottles etc looked after our food in fridge for us. I will be returning with my family.

Great little B&B off the main road away from the traffic but still central to the town. Spotlessly clean and to a high standard. Very comfortable beds and delicious breakfast. Friendly owners. Parking available in the back courtyard.
