Dorian is the type of person to whom you really want to say "hope to see you again soon" but somehow this doesn't seem an appropriate thing to say to a funeral director. From the moment I spoke to his father who has been in the business for 44 years, I knew I had come to the right place for help and support after the passing of my beloved Dad. Dorian made time for a meeting with us very quickly and encouraged us to think through what we wanted to do. He guided us and gave us the benefit of his experience, but was also open to our ideas (e.g. seagrass coffin). Nothing was too much trouble for him and within the first meeting we had a date for the cremation and a clear plan of who would do what, and a list of further decisions that we would need to make. Despite the sombre nature of the situation, Dorian managed to find the perfect combination of lightness and respect. We kept in touch via Whatsapp which made the communication between the family and Dorian very quick and transparent. He was always available to address our questions and uncertainties. The day itself was the best it could have been - a top of the range hearse and limousine, stunning coffin spray and ivy garland by Angela Sadler, a wonderful reading of the the eulogy by Huw Thomas, and superb management of the event itself at the Aberystwyth crematorium. The opportunity for live streaming and recording was very much appreciated so many more people could participate than would otherwise have been possible, since COVID restrictions kept numbers down to 20. Dorian has kept in contact with us afterwards, personally delivering the ashes to our home and forwarding donation cheques that he received on our behalf. I would heartily recommend Dorian to anyone who is in the sad situation of needing such services - he made a difficult time a great deal more bearable.

At the most challenging of times this lovely family firm were there for us. My mother had some very unusual requests but they dealt with it with utter kindness. Really lovely people who lifted our spirits and actually made us laugh on the toughest of days. They really care and I highly recommend.
