Brilliant gait analysis. The fact they offer this service free is amazing. Very thorough and helpful advice on running shoes to purchase for a beginner runner !

Great service from Marta. I had no idea what I needed and she talked through the best options and advised me on what to do next in my running journey. You can tell she’s passionate about running and her job. Will definitely visit the store again.

Great service from Hayden today when I needed new trainers. Very knowledgeable about all of the brands offered and did a gait analysis on multiple pairs with me to find the right ones.

Marta served my son back in May with a new pair of running trainers. She was patient and listened and offered her expert advice. The trainers have been excellent and perfect for what he needed them for. Thank you Marta for your excellent service and advice.

Bought a new pair of running shoes this week and had a fantastic experience in this store. Haydn was so helpful and very patient with me as I tried on at least 8 pairs of shoes! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this store to anyone looking for anything running related!

Up & Running is a fantastic store with superb staff who 'know their stuff".

Around 6 months ago I purchased a pair of running trainers from there. I was assisted by a fantastic woman ( my apologies for not getting her name) who went through my requirements, needs and budget.

She put me on the treadmill, explained everything to me, updated me and then brought out 4 different pairs of trainers. I tried them all out, explained what I liked and didn't like and she assessed them.

I purchased a pair of New Balance 1080 and love them! I run really well in them too.

Today I returned to the store in it's new location (in Go Outdoors). I spoke to a really nice Gentleman (who I remembered had been there at my previous visit).

I discussed my needs - which hadn't changed, I just wanted to make my New Balance last longer, so needed a 'spare' pair of shoes.

While I didn't purchase any shoes, I tried on around 6 pairs and was able to rule out what I did and didn't like, and discover a brand I'd never tried before - 'Saucony'. I
didn't like the colour of those trainers, but really liked the shoe.
So I will see if they do them in a darker colour.

I hope the owners of 'Up & Running ' are proud of their stores and their amazing staff. Knowledgeable and helpful staff make such a difference to a store and a customers shopping experience.

Such an excellent store! New runner looking to buy a pair of good shoes, Richard and Tom, took their time showing me different options, took my running style, budget and design preferences into account, came away a very happy customer with a pair of New balance shoes. Thank you so much Richard and Tom for your time, expertise and advice. Will be coming back for accessories soon!

I’ve decided to start running again after a 3 year lay off and needed a professional assessment of my running technique so as to purchase quality running shoes to suit.
No appointment needed, walked in and made contact with Peter. After a short discussion about my running history, needs, followed by walking, running assessment to ascertain my running type. Three pairs of running shoes explained and tested I decided on a pair that were perfect for me.
The whole process took about 30 minutes, so worth it.
A big thanks to Peter for excellent service and professionalism.

Came to the store to buy a pair of running shoes in preparation for the London Marathon 2024. Hayden was brilliant! Assessed my running technique, gave me a range of shoes to try on, and was super patient, friendly, and knowledgeable throughout.

I visited looking for a new pair of trainers to wear for the Great South run and received excellent advice and customer service from a lady. The lady gave me great advice and the trainers were perfect.

Very knowledgeable staff, no pretentiousness just good advice. Gait analysis avaliable (you don't need an appointment) with many footwear options avaliable but no pressure to buy. I had a really thorough analysis done and it was far superior to any other running shop I've been analysed in, staff made me feel valued and most importantly took time to talk to me about my running style, training plan and past injuries. I would highly recommend visiting Up & Running and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Visited on 2nd August with two of my own pairs of shoes in hand and a whole load of questions relating to my marathon training concerns.
Richard listened and took the time to talk me through the gait analysis process. It turns out I had been overpronating and needed more stable shoes to ease some of my aches.
It was a hugely helpful session, Richard was patient and not at all pushy.
I tried on a number of shoe types so I could feel the difference. Although they didn't have my size in stock, I now know what I need in a shoe and will certainly return in the future.

Visited yesterday 30 May 2022 during a hailstorm. I was served by Viv. What a great lady. Viv was very informative, very kind , not pressurised. I'm not a runner but needed comfortable trainers as I have aggressive early onset rheumatoid arthritis. I needed comfort to aid my ankles and knees. My husband bought me a pair of Brooks Glycerin 19. I shall return when these run out!

I had to return a pair of running shoes to Up & Running , I was really pleased with the service, no issues just checked recipt and helped me pick a replacement pair , the assistant (Haydn ?) was extremely helpful and had a good varied knowledge of brands and offered my a pair of Under Armour , I've never worn these but after a test on the tread mill I was sold on them . Thanks for the assistant 👍
