Really great customer service here, from a lovely young gentleman. They don't have public toilets but allowed my autistic 5 year old to use their staff toilet in an emergency, which was so appreciated. Well done.

A good range of products at reasonable prices and All the customers seemed happy. Easily attended form the High Street and market area of Ely. Plenty of parking spaces available and also coffee shops within easy reach.

Outstanding shop, that are probably teaching the competition something about supermarketry ! Only one reservation: the parking time limit of 1 1/4 hours is inconsistent with operating only one checkout. I've been caught in this circumstance before, and in consequence am a little nervous of any delays in shop. Apart from this stress, outstanding. Thankyou.

Update from further visit 24 Nov 22:
This supermarket is quite outstanding. Quality of stock, very good. Prices, not only minimal rises, but some items cost less than at last visit.
However, my previous comment relating to parking limitation viewed in the context of checkout limitation still applies. Today, a regular shop was completed in a busy store (no great surprise), but only two checkouts (out of seven) were working, with lengthy queues at each. I think we left with less than a minute to spare. If I get a ticket, be assured I shall be vocal in my refusal to pay the cost.
Both my wife and I are in our autumnal years, one of us is a stroke survivor, the other has a leg missing.
CAN YOU PLEASE RENDER YOUR CHECKOUT MANNING CONSISTENT WITH YOUR QUITE UNREASONABLE PARKING LIMITATION.

Unless, of course you'd rather elderly cripples went elsewhere......

Every time I come here this place looks like tornado went through it but I don't mind seeing how staff are working, dragging stuff around, stuffing the shelves and chugging away at checkouts. In today's reality the fact that every till always accepts both cash and card and you are always served by human being seems like unbelievable breath of fresh air and yet it should be minimum standard in every supermarket.

Busy today but that goes to show that not only do people shop there because it is a good bit cheaper than a rival store over the road but the quality of their selection of foodstuffs is good. Do some homework and compare their prices with that of Tesco/Sainsbury's and you will find that a lot of their stock is far cheaper than the others. We always start our shopping day here before we move on to the other stores, you find that what you buy saves money.
Fantastic choice of sweet stuff, cakes and some fantastic bargains in the "Middle Aisle".
If you want to save money on your shopping, I would recommend ALDI.
Try it out and see, you have nothing to lose but everything to gain.

Great find! Looks like a new store. Nice spacious car park and well stocked clean store. Friendly helpful staff. More or less opposite a Sainsbury's so able to kill two birds with one stone so to speak.

I have known Aldi shops for almost 50 years. In 1973, Aldi Nord opened its first store abroad. That was in the Netherlands, the country where I was born.

During those 50 years Aldi introduced changes but it was an uphill struggle. Clients were seen by the public as low class citizens. Walking home with an Aldi bag was a walk of shame for many. Snobbism was Aldi's most threatening competitor.

Clever marketing, good products, stamina and perseverance changed Aldi's standing and, with that, the shopper's attitude and perception. In Holland, it even became fashionable to be seen with an Aldi bag. Middle- and upper-class people, who shopped at Aldi, were seen as clever and it explained why they had money.

Aldi wanted these customers to come back again and again and reacted by adjusting their offerings and expanding their range. In the last decade, these changes have been even more drastic. Affordable, high quality products that can compete with and is often superior to those of their competitors, all that still at a very competitive price.

At first, other supermarkts looked down on Aldi like the public did 50 years ago. Originally thinking that they were superior to and more upmarket than Aldi they felt reasonably safe.

They are obviously getting worried now and for good reason. Looking at the number of locations worlwide, Aldi have more locations than the big four UK supermarkets together. No surprise therefore that you can see the Aldi Match price sign in many of them. As if we don't know that products that don't match that price may still be higher than Aldi's.

So why wouldn't you go to Aldi in the first place?

Covid safety very good, most staff masked if not careful with contact. Feel safe to shop. Customers wearing masks. Queue occasionally to get in. Shopping experience good.

Pricing is great. Staff are great (Oksana was very helpful on the till earlier this evening). A few empty shelves thanks to Brexit but that’s beyond Aldi’s control. Have missed going and happy to be back!

Love this shop
They are always a fraction of the cost of any other shop to get basicly all my shopping from, there brand items are 99% as good as the extremely expensive ones, so don't be put of due to its cheapness.
The weekly bargain buys will always have you interested in something you wanted but proberly forgot about.
The staff are manic always working hard but seem to always be willing to stop and help. oh at the till you won't have time to pack bags as they scan your items, just chuck them back in your trolly and bag up on the table by the big window.
Quick shop
Low price
More money do treat your self or a loved one

As an Aldi it is very similar to the others, however parking is really easy and plentiful. Staff are friendly (and hold a till open rather than - sorry I am on a break) have used many times as an easy place to buy lunch when in Ely.
