Sleepy Bee Studio

This is a superb workshop for anyone interested in calligraphy at any level. Charlie creates a very calming, friendly, supportive atmosphere and her many little touches - such as delicious chocolates presented in individual patisserie cloches - made the experience very special.

The tuition is well paced with clear explanations and practice sheets. There is no pressure and each person is encouraged to progress at their own pace and at their own level.

I was slightly concerned that as a complete novice I would 'hold the class back' but this was not the case. With Charlie's help I managed to do much more than I thought possible and am very pleased with the results. So pleased in fact that I have signed up for another one!

If you think you'd like to have a go at calligraphy but have been put off by the intimidating atmosphere of some offerings please give it a go with Sleepy bee, you won't regret it.

Went to the bauble making workshop for the first time and it was such a lovely experience. The atmosphere of the workshop was very warm and comforting and time just flew past!

Took part in one of their wax seal workshops with my friends - it was a really fun and relaxed vibe! Loved the wax seals I took home and would definitely recommend 😊

I managed to get No1 of 50 limited edition mugs made by the collab of the Sleepy Bee Studio and Emma Alington!
I take my teaware very seriously and this mug is made to perfection. It’s just the right size for a medium cup of tea, it’s easy to hold and is lightweight.
It’s makes tea time so much more decedent :) Would love to see matching items to go with this!!

Really let me down with an order I needed. I’ll admit my timeline was tight but certainly within the realms of possibility for most businesses considering I sourced the methods of delivery myself and actually linked them to her. I couldn’t have made it easier for her. Very disorganized, appeared to be lying about dropping off packages (said she dropped it off, I rang the parcel company, they said the scenario she was describing was not possible). I went above and beyond to help her to help me and she ultimately turned around and told me she was too busy to complete the order. The only redeeming quality about this experience is that she admitted that her customer service was terrible and has sent back a refund. This however does not refund the time she wasted over several days due to her inability to do a simple task i.e., post a package.

I wouldn’t normally leave a review like this but really, If you’ve got some lead time and the stakes are low, maybe give Sleepy Bee a shot because the products look quite nice but if you need something urgently and are expecting to deal with someone who will behave professionally, do not use.
