I'm a huge fan of Village wines shop in Bexleyheath. They offer a fantastic range of wines, with the Spanish selection standing out as top-notch and reasonably priced. The staff is exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, making every visit enjoyable. Thank you!

Fantastic place, I needed some dessert wine for a dinner party. Was given a choice of four, brilliant knowledge by the owner of all the wines. Also wanted some Sancerre. Will definitely be returning. Can throughly recommend.

It would be unkind to rate this lovely village wine merchants any lower, despite a couple of quibbles. Here’s the reason why it gets top marks: incredibly friendly staff who are happy to leave you to your own devices but also keen to help where they might be needed. Even without asking, the store assistant broke down for me how the store was laid out when I came in (by region, just as you might hope). They have a very good (not extensive but more than adequate) selection of nice regional wines at affordable prices - many hovering at around the £15 mark. With the abysmal supermarket selection post-Brexit it doesn’t at all seem unreasonable. Even a lot of the very nice DOCG wines don’t exceed £50 or so. To really push it to the next level for me, I would like to see some Puglian wines (this is just a matter of taste and I was pleasantly surprised to see some wines from Sardinia, Calabria and a good selection of lovely Sicilian wines). I would also love for the vendors to wrap the wines in tissue paper (aside from the fact that it adds a nice “I’ve been to a wine shop” touch, it also stops the bottles clinking around in the back of my car!)

If you're looking for indepth knowledge and advice, a vast range of excellent wines, and at all price ranges, this is the place. Beware, buying here makes you accustomed to great tasting wine, supermarket blends will no longer be good enough for you.

Brilliant local wine shop, there's a great variety of wine on offer catering for all budgets. The guys certainly know their stuff and can offer great recommendations if you give them an idea of what sort of thing you're looking for. Support local!

A great wine merchants both for single bottles or larger orders

Always get my Christmas wine here

The owners are very knowledgeable on the wines they stock and are always willing to give advice on which wines are suitable for purpose and on the prices

The wine is all good quality

They are not an off licence so don't go looking for beer larger spirits etc although they do carry a very small stock of the same on occasions

They do glass hire if needed

Large public car park outside so easy to park - they even take the wines out to the car for you if need be

They hold occasional wine tasting evening's

Well worth a visit to get something g reasonably priced for the wine and in all price ranges
