The Lodge

The Lodge is a fantastic place, a curious mix of high end ladies clothing and fashions, and a cafe. Doesn't sound like it should work, but it does. Excellent and comfortable surroundings, great food and first class service. Recommended.

Lovely food, really nice staff & a dog friendly area. Excellent.

Always have good service here. The staff and owners are great. All the food is lovely but especially the Lemon Merangue Pie, scones, Bakewell Tart and Afternoon Teas, I never know what to order. We call it our staff canteen.

Sadly I was attending a funeral. However the staff were attentive, the buffet superb( don't know if thats something they do much of) . My husband loved the scones so overall a really nice place. The outside area was pretty and my relative visits often and she's fussy. Impressed. Worth a visit

A hidden gem that had a contemporary facelift a few years ago. Comfortable chairs and fresh food with plenty of lunch choice. Lovely homemade cakes with gluten free choices. Dogs welcome. Lots of outside seating in the fine weather with large umbrellas. Quick efficient service . Why not have a look around the retail section after selling lots of high fashion makes - Joseph Ribkoff etc. Fitting rooms. Spotlessly clean toilets

A wonderful find. We only ever pass through in a morning so have toast or scones. They are both divine. The service is impeccable, the standard of cleanliness high. Can't fault the place.

The lodge is a local legend. It's a high end ladies fashion shop with a very nice cafe. But that doesn't really tell you about the quality of what you get there. Recently they added Seasalt and another nicely priced brand of clothing to their collection making it a real possibility that you will buy something as well as a cappuccino. The ladies are helpful and not all pushy. The lodge menu is good. Their Welsh rarebit has been going for at least 35 years and I keep going back for more. The pate is always nice and the bread and salad excellent. Too much cream on the puddings for my taste and a simple fruit salad wouldn't go amiss. The scones... ah, well, someone there knows what they're about. Delicious. A good stop on the A road between ruthin and Denbigh. It's always reliably good👍

I love visiting the lodge, situated in North Wales, it provokes fond memories from my childhood.
I visited last year before covid was upon us .
The staff are friendly and welcoming.
The menu is just right in terms of choice.
All their food is delicious and nicely presented.
They have fabulous homemade desserts from, cheesecake, carrot cake, chocolate, banana bread, scones, etc etc.
Additionally, they have a lovely clothes boutique, selling various designer garments.
There is plenty of free parking available, which is an added bonus .
If you appreciate beautiful clothes, and delicious homemade food, in my opinion, it's definitely worth a visit.

Excellent food service and venue

.Booked a table for my very first Sunday Lunch there.Lovely warm welcome by a smiling hostess (as all the other staff ) by the front door.After ordering a Chicken Dinner it arrived quickly piping hot with plenty of first class gravy in a jug.Enjoyed a tasty platefull,followed by a quality trifle.

Known Bethan for many years for her exellent cooking,and knew that I would not be dissapointed.Felt happy and homely there.Impresed by decor

Excellent selection of cakes and pudding. I had lemon meringue pie which was tangy with lovely crisp pastry. Soup was flavourful. The staff are great!
