Wonderful little shop. If you can’t find something of interest…….you’re not looking!

Fantastic selection of books, CDs, DVDs and vinyls. A real hidden gem. Quirky lady behind counter made my roaming more enjoyable. Memorable shop that will likely revisit for more purchases. Has more than the typical “charity” shop that always has the same collection no matter which one you go in. Was tempted to buy more and might have to go back. Other customers were obviously enjoying their browsing too. I have noticed some negative reviews of the shop but it clearly states on the door no food/drink etc. Also you can’t expect the shop owner to know details of every single item in store.

Love this book shop. Whenever I visit Cornwall I take a trip to Mevagissey. The shop is absolutely packed with books and is a bookworms paradise. Rather give this shop my custom than Amazon!

Really nice small bookshop that offers books, vinyls, CDs and some movies. Woman behind the counter is very enthusiastic, the kind of vibe you need for a small independent store like this one.

A very useful and well-presented bookshop that also sells DVD's, CD's and LP records, so this is ideal for collectors. The assistant was very helpful, a pleasure to have a conversation with and knew a lot about the locality such as bus services etc. Book selection was wide-ranging from novels to local history, transport and culture. A lovely shop and will definitely be returning on my next trip to Mevagissey.

I love this place, great selection of vinyl to suit all tastes and guaranteed to bring back music memories. Both new and used books, fiction, factual and practical. But the best thing about Hurleys is Emma Emma the manager. She always has a smile and friendly welcome for all and is always happy to chat and offer help where needed. We are very lucky to have this shop in the village. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

What a fabulous discovery in Mevagissey, shelves of books and friendly welcome. Also managed to pick up some Agatha Christie's for our Mum. Win, win! Definitely 5 star. X

A hidden gem. Went in to look for second hand books but I was side tracked by their amazing stock if vinyl! 60s 70s and 80s. Only bought oneas wife was getting bored. I will be back if I am in the area again.

Excellent shop. Great prices on CD and vinyl, some unusual stuff including some German prog on the day I visited! but something for everyone. Books look good too. Friendly owner. Highly recommended.

Exactly the sort of little book/record shop I hoped to find in a place like this. Wish I'd had a spare couple of hours to properly dig the crates. Got some amazing finds, and managed to haggle a little.

Great personalised service and they insist on high standards of hygiene so a safe clean shop to visit. Only the unhygienic would complain about the high standards .
