Kaszana Limited - Polish Shop

Went in to see if they served any Polish beers, specifically Perła Miodowa (they did). It is a small shop but has a fantastic range of stock including a deli.

I was greeted by a lovely lady who was very helpful and friendly. She went out of her way to help me and my son who has a bulky stroller leave the shop. I always try and support small local businesses, so I will be coming back here in the future! 5/5

An excellent shop for Polish goods, Inka coffee substitute and Polish bread and baked goods are what I go for, but their range is impressive for a small shop.

Great little shop with Polish and Central/Easter European food. It is very small but offers good selection of everything you need. Very polite and helpful staff!

Love this little den of loveliness.
I try to buy different things to try out mostly I like them and a new experience is always good. I have made some very interesting and tasty dishes.
The owner is a nice helpful chap , my lack of Polish and his limited English make for a lot of gesturing.

This will be my first ever negative review. Over the years I've been to this shop quite a few times, never had a bad experience until last Saturday. We live about an hour drive from Llandudno, so I only go there if we are in the area. The shop was empty, the selection, especially in the chilled area was very poor, there was a sad looking bunch of yellowish-brownish dill, a solitary cabbage, and overall a very restricted choice of chilled produce. I wanted to buy some herring, looked at "Best before.." , it was expiring September 26th, I decided to buy it anyway, and some curd cheese, again with a very limited shelf life. Could not find anything else that I wanted. When I got to the counter and mentioned 'sell by date', the elderly man, who is normally very friendly, grumbled something incomprehensible. The selection of cold meats was again very poor, normally I would buy two if not three different meats, there was just one that I decided to buy. He asked how much I wanted, I showed him, like, about two inches, he asked if I wanted it sliced, I said 'No thanks'. Then I paid, and before I took my purchases off the counter, he disappeared into his little room. I said 'Dziekuie', got no reply, and walked out of the shop. It never crossed my mind to look at what he actually sold me. When we got home I unwrapped this meat, and I was shocked to see it was actually a cut off the very end, totally distorted, squashed, crusty, scorched, looking something like a fish tail. Forget about two inches and 'having it sliced'. If I lived round the corner I would have definitely taken it back. My husband's reaction was 'He is just a conman'. I never had such an experience before and hopefully never will. I find it totally inadequate, outrageous, insulting, to say the least. Maybe he had a bad day, maybe he did not like my pretty face, I will never know. It is a disgrace to treat a customer, let alone an elderly woman, in such an abominable way, and I am pretty sure that it was a deliberate action, some sort of statement. I should have taken a picture of this piece, but I was so upset that I did not think about it at the time. Needless to say I will never go there again. I told my friends about my experience, they were equally shocked. I wish him good luck with his trade, but I will definitely take my custom somewhere else.
