This is such a useful and friendly shop. Been in countless times for those odds and ends you are not sure where you’ll find them but they always have them. My favourite bit is the ‘pick and mix’ of single hooks and nails etc. at the back - what a thrill not to have to buy in bulk in horrible packaging. Not forgetting the lovely shop dog 💚

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, shop packed with stock and a some aisles. can be quite tight to negotiate.
Prices are reasonable and the quality of products is very good.
The shop is also home to a very friendly tabby cat who likes to sit on the checkout counter.

Just fantastic little shop, everything you need to sort out all the little bits around the house.. ALSO lovely little boutique items... ALSO the staff are great, know loads, always have a laugh. Every time my Dad visits he makes an excuse to go into this shop

Great friendly and efficient service all done with a big smile. Plus Barney the dog was very welcoming too. The keys cut were perfect.

A cool and useful shop. Excellent multi coloured twine - great for wrapping presents.

What a wonderful experience. Extremely helpful service and always with a smile. You can normally buy the odd screw or piece of sandpaper without having to buy a whole pack. Which means you only buy what you need and at a very reasonable price. Forget the faceless large "DIY" stores and support independent businesses.

Awesome shop. Has loads of DIY essentials plus key cutting, watch batteries, loose screws etc. Also has lots of good quality homeware items (tea pots, plant pots, pottery) and a shop cat named George. Friendly staff and open on Saturday and Sunday if you're stuck trying to hang a picture on the weekend.

I out picking up a frame from opposite the road and my keys accidentally fell into the drain.
Luckily I saw this hardware store and Martin kindly let me borrow a litter picker and I managed to fish out my keys.
Martin did not charge me a penny even though I offered.
I'll be picking up all my hardware from Martin going forward.

Always support local business!! Love this shop. Always friendly staff, prices are all reasonable if not better than your big DIY chains. Also lots of cool and different kitchen bits and bobs so it's good for present hunting too.

Wonderful local hardware shop. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff who will order something if they don't stock it. Excellent range of D.I Y stuff and kitchen and garden goods. I've found this shop to be cheaper than B&Q, they open 7 days a week, 12 till 4 on Sunday.

A real treasure trove of a place, with friendly & helpful staff. From a wide range diy tools and bits & bobs to kitchen paraphernalia - including lots of environmentally friendly options - as well as gardening gear and present ideas, I rarely fail to find what I’m looking for here 👍

What a treasure, the amount of times they have saved me from going to B&Q and the like. Also they have a lovely cat, some nice red glasses, wood for the burner and a lot of other great stuff. Top drawer!

Absolutely love this shop! It always has everything I need, the products are all really high quality and always reasonably priced. Staff are always friendly and really helpful. Would highly recommend.

Cheaper than internet prices, with friendly service. I wanted a specific paint, which was cheaper than anywhere on the internet I'd found, and much cheaper than the big DIY stores. A great local shop.
