Truly a fantastic RC Model Shop. Incredible selection of radio controlled car kits, and everything that goes with them, from wheels, batteries and motors, to suspension, body paint, and ball bearing kits. Also, a great selection of RC planes and helicopters, boats and trucks, as well kit for building, accessorising, and fixing all of the above.
The staff are enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. Prices are very reasonable, with kits and prices for beginners, right up to experienced racers.
This kind of shop is a dying breed. I would encourage anyone who can get themselves down to this store to experience it for themselves, and spend your money here. There's nothing like the experience of visiting a place like this, and you can't put a price on the knowledge and help you receive from the wonderful staff. I'm so happy to have discovered this gem.

Decided last minute to take a trip over today with my son to checkout the shop. As my son is on the spectrum it's not often to see him show excitement and the moment we walked in he wanted to see everything before settling on his first car. Absolutely chuft with it . Couldn’t ask for a better day.

All the team are superb at TJD, they have expert and wide knowledge! They have gone above and beyond to assist with my Brother on more than one occasion who purchased a petrol remote controlled car. It is also so refreshing to see a face to face store like this, as there is not many around these days. Had an issue with charging the battery for a RC excavator. The gentleman in the shop was very helpful and tested everything for me. Many thanks for all your help and advice.

Richard and John really knowledgeable and helpful! Had a small issue with my tamiya Porsche gt3(Suppliers fault) resolved really quickly and efficiently! Great place, well stocked and old school top customer service and advice. Highly recommended 👍

Friendly model shop.

Today, bought a new Riot R/C Airplane. I’m new to this hobby, but the two guy’s in the shop were extremely helpful. They suggested a few subtle changes for what I originally asked for, as they knew with their knowledge I’d have a better flying experience. Thanks a lot.

Awesome shop, chock full of big boys toys. The staff are friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. If they don't have it in stock they can usually get it in a few days. Massive Traxxas stock and has pretty much everything radio control you could want.

Wow, what an incredible service from Richard and his team. I bought a Tamiya Lunchbox and needed help with the build. It was done within 48hrs including shipping. Really pleased, my Son will be over the moon and you’ve saved me a lot of hassle on Christmas Day! Will definitely use your company again, can’t recommend highly enough.

Been in to the shop a few times over the last year or so.... Wish I'd bought my sons FTX Tracer from them originally!
Such friendly, helpful, professional (yet definitely capable of polite banter) a properly solid team of staff.. Had a problem with the Tracer, gave them a call, popped to the shop, fixed it... Now we started looking around (as you do) and then I thought what's better than an RC car?... Two.... We were shown all that we asked about, asked what our use case typically is.... and came out with an Arrma Vorteks 4x2 (I want the joy of the Boost upgrade at a later date)
Unrushed, thorough and patient.
Seriously, shops with staff and stock like this are not common.

I’ve been using this place for years, and it is faultless. I lost some screws from my current car and they fixed it for free. Also gave me some excellent advice. I’d never go anywhere else.

1000% fantastic staff,and shop... helpfull have time for u . World wide chose in everything. If you need anything no matter were u are I suggest you go to tjd. If ur in Scotland no worrys there post.. seriously I've been modeling for a long time . Never been to a better shop ( ever ) any im Laurence. Agin fantastic

Amazing place! I have no idea how but they managed to find stock of something that was unavailable everywhere else, and have it delivered to store within a few hours of speaking to them ready to collect 🤯 The staff are really knowledgeable and friendly and the shop itself full of awesome rcs and parts

30 minutes in this shop just took 30 years off my age! Feel like a kid again. Really helpful team. Will be back

Best model shop in Kent always busy and got my carbon ZT28, arrma senton, absima sherpa, G-made komodo, construction vehicles, my nitro parts, batteries and soon my tamiya Larry kits

What a great shop! I turned left, as I went in, into a fantastic array of paints, Vallejo and Tamiya - both a LOT cheaper than Amazon. More kits than you can shake a sharp stick at! Ryefield, Tamiya, Bandai etc, at very good prices. Amazon - you might be taking a back-seat from now on😊 (PS If you turn right, I'd guess you'll find whatever you want in the RC world).

Visit this store frequently with my husband. Staff are always helpful and knowledgeable on products. Great selection and husband spends a fortune.

I’ve used this shop a few times now after discovering earlier in the year. They have absolutely everything from Airfix to high grade RC planes and cars. I’ve purchased a few retro Tamiya RC cars to re live my youth and I’m having an absolute hoot. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable especially John who I’ve had most dealings with. Highly recommend 😊

my first time going to tjd models, (21/01/2023) i wanted my kids to experience going into a model shop and buying there first rc, like when i used to go in the 90s.

the level of service and kindness from the staff was out of this world, they interacted with my kids and took time opening the boxes for them to look at the cars.

there level of knowledge is out of this world they know what there selling and can answer any questions you ask about the rc.

i also found tjd models to be competitive on pricing and in my case cheaper then other online retailers.

Excellent model shop with loads of models and accessories and a huge range of RC models and equipment. Friendly knowledgable staff and really good pricing. Highly recommend 👌
