Ravenglass Handmade Ice Cream

Wow. What fantastic ice cream and a great business model.
Definitely a recommendation if you are in the area; I particularly liked the Blackcurrant & Cream and have a Rhubarb & Ginger in the freezer for later.

The ice cream is probably the best we've tasted. We had french vanilla in a cone, again the best cone, so fresh. We went a couple more times an had the vanilla because it was so good but all the flavours were being eaten by other holiday makers and were heard to say ,delicious. Another super discovery were the Tuscan flatbread sandwiches with various fillings, the hand raised pork pies and local bacon and Cumberland sausage. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and we even ordered food for our journey home. We will definitely be back . A much needed service in Ravenglass. I must mention the delicious cinnamon buns and various other cakes. Yummie.

Lovely ice creams with a nice selection to choose from. They even make ice creams for dogs as well. The shop also makes pasties, fresh bread, pork pies and cakes. We would recommend all of them 😊. The cakes and pies are presented in boxes to takeaway the attention to detail and the staff working there are impressive. This is definitely a place to visit if you are in the area.

Honesty shed ice cream & hot drinks. £2 per tub of ice cream. Lovely homemade ice cream great on a sunny day.

The BEST dairy ice cream eaten in a quiet yard!! Amazing flavours especially in the take away tubs! Dragon fruit and rhubarb. Lovely friendly staff and a great well stocked shop of goodies too. Worth a detour.

What a hidden treasure! The apple and rhubarb ice-cream was heavenly. Our dogs loved their huge portion of doggy ice-cream too.

Honesty box is such a sweet idea. A decent ammount of flavours to choose from (would have loved chocolate though!) Everyone enjoyed their ice cream. Such a good idea having the spoon in lid too. Really glad we wandered here by accident!

Sadly they weren't open when I visited but they do have a honesty shed so I did get some ice cream! Looking forward to going back to try more from the menu.

Gorgeous rich ice-cream, just bursting with flavour! Healthy scoops and incredibly reasonable prices! I'd travel to Ravenglass just for this ice-cream!!

Love the honesty box, you can buy a coffee or pots of ice cream even when they’re closed.

Fabulous ice cream, amazing flavours and wonderful staff. Would of taken a photo but I was enjoying the ice cream too much that I forgot! Love the fact they have an honesty box so you can always grab a tub anytime. My son was undecided on which flavour so the lovely lady offered him some tasters and his favourite was the cherry so definitely pop round if you're in the area.

Went in to the cafe for breakfast, coffee and cake. Lovely place, friendly and great food. Would recommend!

Delicious home made ice cream. Lots of flavours. Finding places like this are what make a holiday for me. Strongly recommend.

A real find. The food here was excellent, great value and the staff delightful.

We tried the peaches & cream, tiramisu and dragon fruit flavours in tubs. All delicious and very reasonably priced at £2 a tub!

I have had a few fantastic ice creams at this place. Great choice of flavours, generous portions and brilliant value. Situated in quaint courtyard just off Main Street Ravenglass next to Rosegarth Guest House. A must when you visit this little village and a great way to end your trip on the "Ratty" steam train.
