Cotswold Outdoor Cirencester

I used the 3D foot scanning service here this morning and couldn’t recommend it more. I needed wide fitting trail shoes for an upcoming marathon and the advice and service I received was fantastic. I didn’t get the chaps name who served me but he is a real credit to the store. Thank you and do come here, it’s worth it for well fitted shoes.

As always, the staff was knowledgeable and helpful. All my questions were answered and I was able to test out the bag I was interested in with some weights. Location with good parking and you can go for a hike right away if you want to try out your new purchases!

You receive expert advice on your outdoor gear here and a wide range of items to choose from, at all prices. I bought some walking poles and the assistant advised me about the ones I'd chosen and showed me how to put them together then checked that I understood how to do this before I bought them..

Visited several places to get a pair of boots fitted. Recommend you organise an appointment rather than turn up and if you do make it as late as possible.

That said, I got exactly what I needed by people who knew what they were saying rather than a high st store who don't really care and just want to sell.

Great staff, the guys know their stuff. Very helpful. I went in to get a rucksack and I was not disappointed. If you are looking for any type of outdoor activity equipment you should be able to find something which suits you. And don't forget to have a coffee break at the cafe next door which offers a variety of coffees, teas, cakes and all sorts of snacky tasty things.

I love this store, for starters it's in a beautiful part of the countryside, but it also has a wide range of products for sale. The prices are similar to the competition, and I'm one of those people that still like to see a product, try it on and then decide if I want to purchase it. Buying online can be cheaper, but I value the opportunity to try before I buy, and I don't mind paying a couple of quid more for the privilege.

There is a nice cafe next door too, so we often go to the area for a run out. Visit the store, have a coffee and s slice of cake, then maybe a walk around one of the lakes in the Cotswolds Water Park.

Had a lovely breakfast this morning. Good service and locally sourced ingredients. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Great place. Perfect for short day out with children. Delicious pizza, pancakes and you can grill murshmallows.

If I could give 6 stars I would. I went to the store to find trekking shoes after trying to buy online and being disappointed (with another retailer). I don’t remember the name of the guy that helped me but he spent a good hour with me making sure we find the best shoes for me. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and loves outdoors themselves. Couldn’t recommend a better place to buy outdoors gear from.

Staff in Cotswold outdoors, Paul (boot- fitting) in particular, were superb. So very patient, diligent, committed to helping me find some hiking boots that fit perfectly, which he did, 10 lairs and 1.5hrs later!

The store is large, clean, well arranged, on three floors and has a great range of stock - all needed for outdoor activities.

There's a great cafe (with toilets, handy) opposite too.

Superb experience which emphasizes the value of traditional bricks and mortar stores over online.
The gentleman at the store who assisted us in finding the right shoes for our daughter deserves special mention for his excellent manner with the kids, patience, and knowledge.
With the quality of the service, and the time saved (an hour in store vs hours online, trialling, returning poorly fitting shoes) a premium above online prices would have been justified, but a subsequent check revealed that their price was better than the major online-only merchants'.

Some items were on sale at half price and the tag didn't say, so we got a very nice surprise at the till.

A really impressive and popular place and not a bad cafe. Very busy so expect ques at popular times.

The classic Cotswold Outdoor shop in the perfect surrounding within the Cotswold Water Park. Put your new gear to the test with the countless miles of lakeside, canal-side and roadside walking, all flat and mostly gorgeous.

The shop its-self is well stocked with a variety of outdoor gear, and with very friendly, helpful and well-informed staff - especially in the boot department. Surprisingly, the shop's prices are, on the whole, competitive with Amazon!
