Lovely local shop in Chapel Stile, near Elterwater. Considering its size, the selection of food and drink is large, including local meat and vegetables. Upstairs they sell walking and camping equipment, hardware, gifts and toys. There is also a nice cafe.

Great little shop, everything you'd need for camping and more! Granted range is limited but fruit ,veg , meat, sweets , ice cream, papers, snacks, and staples, gifts and kitchen hardware, all those little bits you forgot to bring

A gem of a store... Amazing variety and range of stuff you might need day-to-day. Never seen such a well stocked little shop. Friendly and knowledgeable staff too.

Excellent village shop, well stocked with a wide range of products. Upstairs there are even more things you'd not expect to be able to find, like waterproofs.

Great little supermarket. Has everything you could possibly need and more. Lots of lovely local produce and the best place I've found for buying prezzies to take home. Not eaten in the cafe but my friends say their breakfasts are really good

Brambles Cafe (upstairs) well worth a visit - great food and lovely views. The shop is independent and carries a good range of stock. Plenty of parking too.

When camping it is thoughtful to support local businesses & this wee shop is a gem. Everything you need {or forgot!!} Both food & a small selection of camping basics & gifts. There is a cafe upstairs too.... staff always helpful & friendly.

Great local shop for food and other supplies. I always love looking around upstairs, where I bought many of my favourite toys growing up.

Love this shop! It's a little gold mine and sells all sorts of delicious food, good beers, housewares, outdoor equipment ... a veritable Aladdins cave. Staff are all friendly helpful and knowledgeable - lovely cafe too! What more could you want!

This store has everything! Well, almost everything. Very well stocked, has all the essentials.

Not the cheapest shop in the UK, but you would not expect it to be with outstanding quality, variety and convenience levels like this in the remote location. Ignore the indignant reviews.. .nobody should demand servants . I am disturbed by the remarkable narcissistic traits of some reviewers on here, get over yourselves and show respect to local people.

Been coming to Langdale since I was 2 weeks old! My family and I always use this shop to stock up on essentials. Lovely little cafe and gift shop upstairs. Staff are polite, friendly and pleasant.
