Not bad little shop for bits and bobs nut little expensive compared to supermarket

I experienced really bad service at this location. I live in Musselburgh, and the "drop of location tool" said this was the number 1 closest location to me. This is a 50 minute walk. It was a Sunday and the weather wasn't too bad, so I decided to walk there. The person who served me, upon me greeting and saying I have a UPS parcel to drop off, said "we don't take UPS parcels anymore". I politely pointed out that I got this address from the UPS website and that it is painted outside the shop entrance that they do take UPS. He then reluctantly said "let me see the package". The parcel as inside my rucksack, and as I was reaching for it he urgently and angrily (kind of in a fed-up tone) started saying that UPS drop-offs are "only Monday to Friday". I politely said that I didn't see any specifications on the website about this, and he proceeded to say that the shop only has insurance Monday to Friday, and because it was Sunday afternoon, if something were to happen to the parcel, they couldn't make themselves responsible. He took my parcel and hesitant said again but looked like he was going to accept it, nevertheless, he still repeated, angry and as if I was supposed to know this somehow "It's only Monday to Friday for drop off", and although still politely, but a bit firmer I said "I am sorry there was no way for me to know this information, or I wouldn't have walked an hour to get here". This response from me (polite and not raising my voice) tipped his decision to now not accept the parcel and handed it back to me with one hand and looking away from me, he said "sorry I can't help you, come back tomorrow". Still without looking at me he said he is not taking me and he said goodbye. I am definitely not going back there ever again, and a word of warning, as it seems that this place takes parcels at a whim, and if you go there, they may now say it's Monday to Wednesday, or not at all, as I was told initially.

Trying to collect a parcel was an absolute nightmare. I had the delivery card and photo id. He demanded that I describe the package (luckily I could as I knew how it was packaged) , then had to explain why I wasn't in to get the package ( no one's business but mine), then was refused my parcel because it was in my daughters name ( she is a child, which I explained). I was threatened that the parcel would be sent back. The parcel contains medical equipment so I explained that. He said no it doesn't so I pointed out the very large writing on the box saying medical equipment. He was aggressive and threatening. I do not recommend using this shop. This could have been a very life threatening situation due to the nature of the parcel. Who honestly expects a child to collect a parcel? Customer service is non existent. All I wanted was to pick up a parcel normally a nice easy thing to do but not from here.

Mean staff (one of them). I was trying to drop off my parcel today at the local UPS point and they refused to take it because i was few mins past 3pm and they 'dont have place for storing until next day'. When, after long consideration, they decided they may have a spare place they asked for 10pounds for storing it until next day. Got pissed off and left the shop. One of the guys shouted that he was joking. I didn't find it funny after such long conversation and asking privte things like where I stay (if near come back tomorrow) etc. If you planning to drop off your parcel there - AVOID AT ALL COSTS honestly. My feet will never stand there again.

My partner been out in the sun today with highs of 29 degrees went in to buy some water was told don't take cash there is no clear markings of this she was pretty much told that's a her problem really not impressed

Came in for UPS, left because of the verbal abuse. Would not recommend.
