Hobbycraft will always get 5 stars from me. This is a great store, full of wonderful crafting materials. In terms of Hobbycraft sizes, it's quite small but all the essentials are in there.

I wanted to get a sewing machine for the first time as an absolute beginner. Once I found a staff member to help me she dropped what she was doing to talk me through the options within my budget. She explained everything clearly and knew the current deals very well. Very happy with the level of service provided as someone with no prior understanding of sewing machines. Now I need to learn how to actually use it, so I might have to book into their sewing workshops too!

The shop is well laid out and they cover some crafts very well, and have the general art materials sketchbooks etc. I was in for mounting board and they had good stocks of all the colours at a reasonable price. Surprisingly they don't cover silk painting materials, and thus miss out on the numbers of people who create in this media.

The staff are really helpful and lovely. Some if not all are crafter's themselves and were able to advise on products and offer ideas and suggestions from their own experience on what to do/ try. A good range of products. Easy to get to see on a retail park too.

Great store, well laid out and tidy. Very helpful lady called Amanda on the till fully explained the stores club scheme for me and my father and signed me up in minutes! Would highly recommend this shop even for just your everyday bits and bobs.

New store opened in Taunton but I had avoided going in because of the queues during the initial 20% discount opening stage. Nice layout, bright and airy but with the current covid restrictions it makes getting down the Isles a bit difficult when it gets busy but that's not a reflection on the store. Friendly, happy staff and well stocked shelves.

Usually lovely service everytime I have been. However last week when I came to collect my online order I was greeted at the door by a lady (i think called Tracey). I had ordered a huge canvas and to my disappointment I quickly realised it wouldn't quite fit in my car.
The lady was so lovely and happily allowed me to leave it in store until I can sort out another arrangement. She then offered to see if it will fit in her car and if she could drop it to me on her way home!
I returned the following day and luckily It fitted into my partners car. But she wasn't there to thank, it was so refreshing to have someone working in customer service who was so nice and beyond helpful, it really made my day that she dealt with my issue so personally and so thoughtfully.

Has everything I needed and everything I didn't know I needed

When in today for baking stuff, I dont bake or decorate cakes so needed a lot of help which I got. The two ladys who helped me (sadly I didnt get their names) were so patient, helpful and knowledgeable.
I can't recommend enough really wonderful service.

So much choice and variety of things to do, jewellery making masks, painting, drawing, it seems they have everything covered including classes for the artist in you, staff are lovely to boot, have fun exploring your inner artist from beginner to expert
