Asda Barnstaple Superstore

It was AMAZING!!! We sent the kids off to get what snacks they wanted while we got everything (and yes, I do mean everything) else! We got food and drinks we needed for the first 3 days of our holiday and managed to get threw the checkout within 5 minutes!

Really great store, lots of parking with oversized bays, cash points, petrol station which I find is normally the cheapest fuel in Barnstaple, in store cafe, opticians, bakery clothes and a lot more. Some items you might find cheaper elsewhere but not by much.

Sam on George was very helpful nothing was to much trouble she was lovely she showed me thermal tops I brought two good ascent to the shop.

The lady who delivered my home shopping was EXCELLENT. Early on a very cold snowy morning she was SO VERY helpful and kind too, with a smile. Both an excellent employee and a lovely person. I wish there was a way of contacting the local store to tell her manager. PLEASE make this possible. Good employees are valuable!!?

asda petrol & diesel & tyre pump in garage just off main road in , ATM to right of main shop entrance , good parking spaces , click and collect shopping , and a good range of products in store , also george clothes & shoes & diy , cafe , toilets if not locked ?, opticians , also car park spaces for electric car charging for the super rich high earners . Not minimum wage low pay barnstaple jobs.

Well planned out and clean Superstore, stocked. Good price fuel ⛽

Sorry for my negative last review. I can’t edit or delete it. I was just annoyed that our delivery was cancelled because of the weather yet other deliveries from other firms were being made. On a positive note the service we receive is normally very good from all the drivers.

I had to return a microwave that I bought a few weeks ago and had lost the receipt. The two people at customer services were excellent and were able to confirm from the serial numbers that it had indeed been purchased at the store.
The young lady at the customer service desk especially was very very helpful and always polite and kindly. It was very good service indeed and you can feel confident buying anything electrical as you will be looked after should it go wrong.

Great for your diy shop, staff always helpful, lots of parking , however when shopping for a kitchen I did get a ticket as over 2 hours, I appealed but had to pay. Beware

It is an excellent store with good food and very helpful staff! My last visit was made a lot of fun with the friendly lady in the café and her good natured joking, and, when trying to choose the right flat screen TV for a friend I was with, a young assistant called Alfie was extremely helpful and patient and (like all the staff I talked with) he was personable and chatty. There is an increasing awareness of the amount of loneliness in society, and so for me, as a single elderly person, it makes a big difference to go to a shop where one feels as if it's the staff members' pleasure to assist! Thus praise also goes to the manager for choosing such good staff.

For some strange reason I really enjoyed my visit to this store. I'm a disabled pensioner and today I was struggling quite badly with my body's mobility. I asked a young guy if he would pack and check my shopping, which he happily did. I also had a coffee in the café, which has remained a proper sit down place to relax and enjoy. Unlike the monstrosity that is the MacDonalds in the ASDA store in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire.

This used to have a proper café, but some bright spark decided to get rid of it? And a regular meeting place for mothers, OAPs and shoppers became the haunt of back too front hat wearing, people with nothing to do but cause chaos. Then it was gentle and comfortable, today the security guards are working overtime every Friday and Saturday night dealing with idiots!!!

So thank you ASDA store at Barnstaple, for retaining a lovely, welcoming café.

The queue outside was pretty long, but we didn't wait long to get inside. Once inside there were arrows indicating the way around the shop. People don't seem to adhere to the rules but there wasn't chaos. Shopping was calm.

Although not my supermarket of choice I often shop here, I always find the range of food good, and great quality. The store is kept tidy and clean. Price wise it's one of the cheaper supermarkets, it just misses out on the range sometimes compared to Tesco Extra across the way unfortunately.

I always use the petrol forecourt at Asda, it's conveniently placed and has the lowest priced fuel in the area I find, without compromising quality unlike Tesco forecourt who have had a couple contaminant fuel issues resulting in broken down cars in the past.

My wife has just returned from our weekly shop and was singing the praises of all the staff at your Barnstaple store. She had occasion to speak to a number of them on different matters and found, without exception, they were all extremely polite, knowledgeable and keen to help. So it's a big thumbs up to the Barnstaple Asda team and thanks from us. Well done.

Good shopping well stocked, easy pay at either self service checkout or staffed.

Great new store, opened in December 2016.
Sensibly they have large parking spaces for Motorhomes and other oversized vehicles. The Asda Cafe (which is run by the Compass group) was great. A lovely breakfast and very helpful and pleasant staff. Petrol station attached.

I recently collapsed in store after paying for items was unresponsive for a while the staff put me in recovery position I don’t no what I would of done with out the members of staff involved it could of ended in a different way . So I would like to thank all members of staff involved from the bottom of my heart what an amazing and professional team and also the off duty nurse thank you

I have been here many times,staff are very helpful!
and well trained.ive never used the cafe it looks like reviews are bad,but what do you expect for 4 quid for a meal.

A brilliant shop staff amazing. Always very helpful Happy to help. Friendly. A lovely atmosphere
