Balatongyöröki Strand

Our first visit recommended by friends. A lovely location, excellent service particularly as the restaurant was busy and the food was of high quality and competively priced. Will be one of our regular restaurants for future dining out experiences.

Huge, affordable, clean strand. The weekend ticket is 1200 and weekday 1000. There’s loads of restaurants and snack bars with reasonable prices. Showers, locker rooms, and proper changing rooms. It can get crowded, especially on weekends.

After 15 years visiting Balatongyörök and his beach,many has been changed but to good sites. It's very clean and beautiful with many playgrounds for Kids. Nice to stay here back again and will enjoy this five days.

very clean and well-appointed place with plenty of space to relax. shady and sunny places. lots of buffets and restaurants. Water is clear. Deep water is a few meters from the shore and swims perfectly in the water. an ideal place to relax, there is peace. Train station right next to the beach.

Amazing place for a vacation. I go back every year and it never dissapoints me. Place is very clean and somehow well managed. Beach is not free but for 2 euros they surelly offer u alot in return. Food and drinks are right on the beach and toilets are for public use. If nice weather trip with party boat is a must!

Nice place in reasonable price, you can also find here a nice place to eat sth. The only problem is that Hungarians rarely speak English, they prefer German

Peaceful, still many programmes. Close to bigger towns. Can swim, ride a bike, hike in the mountains. I love it's atmosphere.

One of the best beaches in the western balaton area. Nicely maintained, and there are countless restaurants, bars and cafés (try “Party Csóka” there).

We didn’t have to pay an entry fee (I guess because of the post-lockdown), so I don’t know the prices, but both the quality of the beach and the beautiful scenery makes it one of the best beaches I’ve visited so far in the area. Recommended!

Beautiful large well-groomed beach in the beautiful village of Balatongyorok, many restaurants. I like it here more than the beach in Keszthely - deeper and cleaner water. There are two piers for those who like to jump into the water and rent kayaks and water bikes. For kids there is a special beach. There is a bicycle parking.

Lovely place. Very well maintained. Trees, grass, spacious, clear water. Soap in the toilets. Cheap entrance fee. Worth it!

One of the greenest beaches of lake Balaton. You can sit on pleasant grassy areas along the shore, or under the shade of large sycamore trees. There is a baby pool for the smallests and a children playground with sand and swings.
The panorama is beautiful. You can see Badacsony and Szigliget mountains in the distance.

A good selection of buffets, eateries can be found within the beach (pizza, gyros, pancakes, popcorn, ice cream, Hungarian food, fish, beer, cocktails etc).

There are a lot of toilets (kept tidy and clean, free to use).
Other amenities: shops, surf and windsurfing, pedalboat renting, go-kart, waterslide, sunbed rental.

Fantastic for families with kids. Good playgrounds, in shade, clean, access to the water in a gentle slope.

Probably one of the best beaches at lake Balaton if not the best. Green and well cared, very well recomended, if only the buffets could evolv as fast as the beach itself.

Lovely view from the shore, green areas, nice bars, beautiful and relaxed atmosphere. Great place for families.
