Drini Beach

The beach was exceptionally clean. Remember to apply sunscreen and bring an umbrella for shade. I particularly enjoyed the beach because it offers calm waters without strong waves. This makes it safe for swimming, provided you stay within a reasonable distance from the shore. There are plenty of picturesque spots perfect for photography. Additionally, you can discover crabs, fish, and various sea creatures along the shore.

Dirini Beach is a special place for me. I once went to this beach with my mother about a year ago. The beach is very beautiful; I can't forget the white sand and the crashing waves on Drini Beach. There are many stalls around the beach, but the cleanliness is maintained. I rarely see trash scattered there. Apart from that, at Drini Beach, there are also many photographer services that help visitors capture images. In my opinion, Drini Beach is a beautiful place to visit!

Compared to other beaches alongside the sea here, I could say that this beach is the most quiet. Some people offer mat to sit on the beach and it was only 50k for the mattress. For the bathroom you need to pay about 3k to 5k for taking a bath after playing in the sea.

It's a two-hour drive from Yogyakarta through some mountain and jungle road and some villages.

The beach was very clean. What's unique about this beach is that there is a small coral island in the middle of the sea, accessible by bridge. You have to pay 5k IDR to pass the bridge. From that island you can have a nice and beautiful view to the layer of mountains surrounding the beach.

I really like this beach. The beach is quite clean, the sand on this beach is white with not too much coral. Access to the beach is very good, the road is wide and smooth. There are many places to take photos and you can You can also playing water or swiming, because the water is not too deep. This beach is also perfect for seeing the sunset. There are many restaurants and bathrooms too.

A large family recreational beach in Tanjungsari District, Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. The central part is ideal as family play ground and a nice photo spot with its white sand, shallow water, an isthmus connecting the shore to a green hill good, food shops and clean toilets. The West side has a shortcut to the neighbouring Watu Kodok, while the East side has seafood restaurants and shops and a path to the Kosa Kora Hill. I and my wife have enjoyed a unique specialty of a restaurant here not found anywhere else: seasoned big sand crabs ("undur-undur") with oyster sausage. A good pavement from the main road. Limited lodging is available at medium to high rates with no hot shower, but at night the beach is dead dark without life.

Good place, good food with a good price, you could enjoy swimming either playing kano (in the morning when the water is high enough). Not to crowded, so you could enjoy the beach. Also has some spots to take photo ^^

Big areas of beach and white sands, you got to see some fishermen there as well as fish fresh market nearby. The cliffs around the beach really complement the scenery as it gives big waves as well! Overall very nice~

What makes this beach is so different to me is it has white sands and clear sea, unlike parangtritis/ngobaran/indrayanti which has dark sands. Also this one not too crowded so it feels more private

I love this beach. Other beach is make our lips is salty as sea😂🙈 but this beach won't make your lips salty or your hair look frizzy. Nice wind.. Nice sun light. Not too burn but not too dawn. Nice place to get your mate here😄

Worth visiting. This is one of beatiful beaches in the southern shores of Yogyakarta. You can visit a tiny islan, drini island at the tip of this beach. You can enjoy fresh fried seafood in some foodstalls along the beach, while enjoying the fresh air and the waves

I love the sea breeze and clear water. The sand is also clean and the people there are very friendly. I ate delicious seafood and played water there. It was so great.

A serene beach with two personalities, the calm west side and the exciting waves at the east side. The hawkers along the beach serves good value of seafood and coconut drink. Nice experience and a must-go if you want to do beach hopping in Yogyakarta.

I and my friends went to Drini Beach, Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta on July 2018. Actually me didn't want to go there because me was tired after coming down from Merbabu Mountain. But I am not comfortable to refuse the invitation of my friends. We went there using a car. After getting out of the car we had lunch. After lunch we played on the beach at Drini. Drini beach in Gunung Kidul is located parallel to Indrayanti Beach, Kukup Beach, and others. But the Drini Beach is different from other beaches. There is a partition on the Drini beach. as if the Drini beach had two locations. Drini Beach is very beautiful, more beautiful than Indrayanti Beach or Kukup. The sand is white, clean, very beautiful. The waves are big enough. Many fishing boats on the beach. Two days after I arrived there, Drini Beach suffered damage due to the huge waves that hit the beach and the food vendors' food stalls on the beach. As a result the place suffered severe damage. We are grateful when we are there still given safety by God.

Nice place for relax with your family or friends, it has many photo spot and its instagramable, you can diving with your kids or kanoing with your loved one here, the rent for kano is also cheap its only IDR 50K for all day even if you take a rest, the coconut fruti are also cheap its only IDR 15K, most of all its place for back to nature, just enjoy it and share it on your social media, its worth it

A beautiful place. There were part of the beach that has no waves, small waves, and big waves. Very fun and nice place.

It is worth it yo travel 2 hours from jogja to see the brown sand and green water. It was more maintained than it was in 2003, with a lot of toilets and bathrooms, food stalls/mini restos, affordable ticket (10k per person), and mini fish market like in Depok beach. Although the price is slightly higher than depok, i could find fried baby crabs that i couldn't find in Depok.

I rent a mat (enough for 6 people) with an umbrella, just to wait for my kids to play. I paid 30k for the mat and I ordered seafood on nearby stall. They sold 50k for each crab menu and 80k for a kilo of fried/grilled fish. It's quite affordable.

My kids like to collect shells, there were lots of photographer too, and an area to ride a canoe/rubber boat.

Moreover, there are also some small stands which sell seafoods as well as the snacks. Totally worth to visit while you are in Yogyakarta!
