Baron Beach

A beach that has spacious parking lots.

last time i came here was more than 15 years ago and a bit surprised to see the beach these days. I think its not a typical beach that suitable for swimming cz there are too many fishing boats here and there. But its a good one for those who like to hunt seafoods and local souvenirs.

Baron Beach is unique, because there is sea water and fresh water that meet each other. Now, if we want to play in the waves, we have to cross the fresh water that surrounds a fairly large area of ​​beach sand. What's exciting here is that apart from beach tourism, we can tour fresh seafood culinary delights, oh Don't forget to try lobster if you come here.

It's a calm bay with a high cape with a lighthouse tower on its East flank, and an underground river on its West flank is recommended as a safe playground for children. Many toilets available for little money. No recommended lodging.

Actually this place is a fisherman's village. It has a lighthouse at the top of the hill & fish market as well.

The most famous and crowded beach in Gunungkidul. It's easy to reach from Wonosari, Gunungkidul's capital. The accomodation is the most complete. There are fishing boat where we can buy the fresh fishes from them.

Baron Beach is located in Kemandang village, Tanjungsari district, Gunungkidul regency. There are a lot of ships. The view is a beautiful. You can also take the picture in many spots.

Amazing view from the top of the lighthouse (Mercusuar). You have to climb the hill for ± 5-10 minutes then you'll find the lighthouse (it's actually the branch office of the ministry of transportation of Indonesia). You can pay to the officer as much you want (sepantasnya & seikhlasnya).

If you wanna learn history of fisheryin this province, you must come and visit this site, the Baron Beach. You won’t find small scale fishing industry before 80s, but now a lot. Lobster is one of the main fishery products in this site. For sure you may taste it in many of small resto a long the bay. You must try☺

Beautiful amazing beach, this baron beach divide by two section the shallow from river water that you can swim and at the afternoon when the water down you can walk or swim to the other Long Beach with strong wave. At baron beach is not only for swim or play water but you can enjoy also to see beautiful ocean view from the top by walk up stair to tower with additional IDR 5,000 during walk to the tower there many spots to stop to take picture with decoration as like Garuda bird sign, flower shape, heart or just chair and also cafe the rest a moment while you on the way to the top. If you forgot to bring mats and umbrella don’t need to worry, there also beach mat and umbrella to rent for IDR 20,000 for whole day.

A great beach with a lighthouse and green water on the right side. Since there’s a lot of fishers this beach can be so smell because of fishes. But I do like this beach more than indrayanti beach.
