Aston Sunset Beach Resort - Gili Trawangan

Stayed at Aston for 2 nights and it was the best stay we had in Bali across our 10 day trip. The hotel is amazing with excellent staff and well maintained rooms! They have lemon tea and snacks at the reception round the clock for guests. The breakfast was good with multiple options across Indonesian cuisine, live egg and pancake station, some Indian dishes, cold cuts, cereals, fruits and fresh juice. They show a different movie each evening at the beach as well. Though it is on the quieter side of the beach and a little away from the main port, the stay is extremely comfortable. Just a heads-up though, if you are going in for the garden view room, you'll have to walk towards the end of the property so try taking a pool view room which is closer to the lobby.

Stayed here in a villa for 2 nights. During my stay all of the staff was caring and genuine. got a massage at the spa that was incredible. The room was very clean with a good air conditioner. The bathroom was a separate door so you can go straight from pool to shower which I thought was nice. Hotel is on a quieter side of the island but still good location to shops and restaurants. My bed was very comfortable and the pillows were nice. Price is fair for what you get. I would stay here again!

Beautiful resort a little far from the center of the city but a very luxurious experience. Kind staff and they have a beautiful swimming pool which is not filled with chemicals. It's very clean and nice. Had a good time sipping cocktail in the pool. They also have a pool side bar which is cool.

Amazing hotel. Everything absolutely perfect thanks to GM Emanuel & his staff. Very well managed & the staff are very happy. The food was delicious & breakfast on the beach was pure paradise. Would highly recommend that visitors bring little luggage & hire a bike as not that far from the ferry port. Save the horses as too hot & overworked....Would definitely stay here again & a special thanks to Hairi who was so helpful & a future manager with great potential. A marvelous memory. Thank you 🙏

Rooms are very sanitary and ac fully functional. Never need to worry about running out of water since clean water is provided in dispensers outside of our rooms.

The service is great, Hasan helped us with service by the shore and was very helpful and friendly.

Location is also good, a minutes walk from the beach, free movie nights everyday.

We booked there 2night and ended up extending for a full week. Very nice hotel. Good breakfast, very large menu for lunch and dinner. Outdoor cinema right in the outside dinning area to finish a perfect day. Comfortable room and all the staff are amazing and so quick to answer your request. Having a great time in the pool thanks to our friend Ade Toteles who's been making great drinks.

An older gem of a place !! Yes it is a bit dated but their customer service and delivery is exemplary.
I have witnessed the arrogance and rudeness of certain groups of people towards the Staff and was impressed by how calmly and professional they dealt with these people. It was quite unbelievable at times and I was shocked at how demanding and rude some people can be.
The Aston provides sunbeds around the pool and their beach area. They are maintained very well and are comfy. They provide beach towels.
Rooms are dated but functional and fairly clean. More English tv channels than most we have stayed in.Kettle, fridge and cups were spotless. Everything worked except balcony door was very stiff and we had to bang it to close, which would be annoying for neighbours.
Very quiet except for some groups of rude people who shout at one another.
Location is 2kms from harbour and main town. We chose it because it would be quiter and for the sun sets.A flat walk along mostly solid paths but you will be hot and sweaty. Horse and carriage is expensive =150k each way. They will take 2 people and suitcases, no more! The horses and carts are small.
Book well in advance if needing one as they are few and far between especially at ferry leaving times.
You can rent bicycles nearby for 50k a day each. The Island will have a proper pathway/ road all way around very soon.
Pool area is lovely and clean but not easy getting in or out if you have any mobility issues.
The managers do an excellent job supervising breakfast, evening entertainment, reception, horse n cart list etc. Excellent table clearence and professional staff.
Breakfast items were extensive and replenished very quickly.
Enough seating and tables. Great view.

Well impressed. The best we have had over our month stay in Bali and the Gilis. A lot of vegetarian options, Indian food, egg station, salad and fruit etc. Well cooked, prepared and good quality.🙏
The free movies on the beach for everyone to enjoy are a real bonus and appreciated. As are the free snacks and drinks and free water dispenser for their guests.🙏
The person who cleans the beach area moves every single bean bag each day and rakes and cleans the area.👏
We have stayed in more modern hotels but overall this takes some beating . It is a proper 4 star service.

The mini mart next door has complete rip off prices.
More than double the prices of other marts on the island.

Entry to sea is shallow once in, a bit of a step down/ small ridge, and relatively safe. Recommend water shoes for the dead coral so you don't cut your feet. Not so great for snorkelling, except for turtles.
We saw lots of turtles swimming past every day.
Great sunsets some days, we came in mid May so not yet high season.
Would come back here to stay again.
We got a great deal and it was good value for what we paid.🙏

We stayed at Aston Sunset Beach Resort for a day and their services were exceptional. Special mention for the staff for quick and prompt services. The resort is right in front of the beach and they have restaurant as well on the beach where they serve buffet breakfast. Breakfast was good and they serve you with variety of cuisines. On arrival they serve you with welcome drinks and also provide complimentary ice tea and snacks. In the evening, they show you movie on the beach which you can enjoy while having food and drinks. It takes around 20 mins from port by bicycle to reach the hotel. Overall highly recommended.

The person serving food, drink ( Ade Toteles) very good in nature and very friendly. Hotel location is awesome, can see lovely sunset view.
Had yummy breakfast ( many varieties for vegetarian) at beach with morning wonderful view.

Loved the location. The sunset and the movies by the beach were surreal. Had such a lovely time in Aston especially with the service! Usman was really amazing and took care of making us the best cocktails! Always with a smile! Super friendly service with all the folks there! Really loved it! Thanks Aston!

We are from India and have stayed here for a day. Room is descent and bathroom needs to be worked out. Shower holes are blocked and water is not draining properly.

When it comes to evening they have a good beach side restaurant. It’s wonderful with open theatre and one can enjoy and have quality time.

Mr Rhaya our attender was quick with our orders and very friendly. I appreciate him for his good service and ambience. 😃🤟

We stay for 2 nights and feel so comfy about the room. Despite of the building looks oldies, but overall the services is delighting. Appreciate to the crew with their fast response to fulfill our needs in the room.

After all, delicious Virgin Colada by the bartender after snorkeling in Gili Island, very refreshing.

Super happy about my stay here. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Great facilities, amenities and breakfast. Quieter area as it is placed a bit from the downtown area, so bike rental is advised.

Overall my stay in this hotel was really amazing . the room very spacious all the staff are very friendly and helpful. I have small problem in my room and Junizar was very helpful and help me so much to solve the problem.. this place really recommend for family trip or even when you want to just enjoy your vacation with your love one . Definitely worth with the price . I will come back again soon

Additionally, provide information about the activities they can do from Gili and the vendors they need to connect with for the ferry or other services.

We had a few great days here. A free welcoming mocktail was nice and the stuff at the beach bar make great mojitos!

The pool was quite big and during our stay (in December) it was pretty quiet and relaxing.

For the checkout we aligned with the reception a day before and easily got a horse cart to our boat.

I forgot something in the room after checkout. I informed my travel agency and the hotel went above and beyond my expectations and brought my stuff to my hotel in Lombok! Thank you for the nice days and great service!
