Mad Monkey Gili Trawangan

Had the best time at Gili T. Mad monkey hostel is across from the beach so we had the most amazing sunsets every evening. We also took part in a pop quiz which was really fun and there was music and dancing each night. The vibe of the hostel was great, would come back again! Billy was so helpful throughout our stay and helped us with everything, from booking snorkelling to getting transport etc. The team are so helpful and friendly, felt like a family :)

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at in SE Asia! A bit far from the downtown area, but Izzy & Billy know how to keep the party going and took care of me as a solo traveler. Activities every night but no obligation if it’s not your scene. Spacious rooms, very clean bathrooms, good food, and a clean pool - plus beachfront sunset views!

I had an amazing stay at Mad Monkey Hostel! The food was absolutely delicious, and the entire property was clean. What stood out to me the most were the organized activities by the staff, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The staff was extremely friendly and always willing to help with anything I needed. A special shoutout to Izzy, who truly made my stay unforgettable. He was always there to answer any questions and went above and beyond to make sure I had a great time. Thank you for everything, Izzy! My stay wouldn't have been the same without you.

Had an awesome time at mad monkey. Staff were the nicest people I had ever met and made the stay super fun. Food was phenomenal and the vibes were top tier. I cannot explain how much the staff improved our time in GILI T. Especially ary, he was the nicest and best bloke I have met in a very long time and our group saw him as a good friend even just in our short stay. People like him make the holiday just so much better. Took us to the best locations watched the sunset with us and even played drinking games. One of a kind place and a one of a kind staff. 10/10 would highly recommend!

Just finished our stay in Mad Monkey & we had an absolute ball. Between the location & activities in the hostel it was a great spot to stay. The staff were extremely welcoming , one staff member in particular made our experience so much better. Izzy brought great vibes and was a great friend to us from the start of our stay until the end.

Had an absolute blast at Mad Monkey hostel. The rooms were simple and exactly what you want. The food was very good and staff were excellent, they kept the vibes up at all times. Shout out to one member of staff, Izzy who was always dancing and vibing with everyone in the hostel and kept the energy up, along with being a gentleman.

Mad Monkey was the best experience at a hostel I’ve ever had! Dan was an absolute legend made us feel welcome as soon as we got there he even played some beer pong with us, went to the trivia night on the first night and met more great people, then went on the snorkeling tour with the mad monkey team on the next day, alpha and art our guides were awesome and knew exactly where everything was and made sure we saw everything, later that night was a Mexican family dinner that rolled into a music quiz (which my team won 🥇) which was basically karaoke and a laugh, they also have 5 minute specials at the bar which is hilarious. Thank you guys so much.. I’ll be back..

If you are looking for a day-party kinda vibe with superb pool, chill crowd, great sunset view and some banging music, this is your place! Had a beer tournament which was so much fun picking sides and screaming and cheering! We went on the day they had Foam Party 🥳 🎉 it was magical!!

Great hostel with very friendly staff, lots of free shots. Hardi/Sambo was really nice and accommodating, great person!

Location is only bad part as its a 25minute walk or 10minute cycle to the main strip/party area.

We had such an amazing time in Mad Monkey. Without sounding too cliche, the place and people made this such a memorable experience all of which would not have been possible without our favourite hostel rep Izzy. Izzy was always buzzing full of energy and made sure each and every one of us felt involved. His presence around the hostel and beyond was unmatched. Massive thanks to all the staff and a special thanks to Izzy in particular. We will be back!

Having stayed in many hostels in my time in Bali, this was truly a highlight. For the price, the rooms were impeccable. The atmosphere, food, pool and surrounds were beautiful as well. Definitely bang for your buck. Had a wonderful time here and especially thanks to Dan the rep who was very welcoming and supportive from the very beginning. 💓💓

I stayed here for quite some days. I loved it a lot! The staff are the nicest I met during my holiday. Most of them know your name and you really feel at home. Would definitely come back to this place!

Brilliant hostel in a unique and beautiful part of the island! The staff are so kind & welcoming especially Billy, Danny & Linda who were always happy to chat, smile and welcome you on-site and to any activity taking place. The beds & onsite facilities are also amazing!

Just writing to say our time at Mad Monkey Gili T was amazing, big shout out to all the staff who gave their full effort to help make the most of our stay. I have to give a special mention to Izzy, from the first minute he was full of energy and our holiday would have been extremely different without him, he was an amazing host. Made a friend for life with Izzy, couldn’t recommend him more!

My friends and I stayed at mad monkey and let me tell you this place is amazing. Not only do the staff make you feel like they’ve known you forever, the food is amazing and the events they put on were never a let down. Great experience at Mad Monkey, rooms were perfectly simple and clean. Experience was made so much better by the activities organised by hostel and the amazing staff that work here. Especially Izzy who was couldn’t have been a more enthusiastic worker!

Best hostel I have stayed at yet. The staff were amazing (especially Linda) and made sure that we had an amazing time. Different events were held each day to get involved in, and there was always so many deals on drinks. Location was abit further from the other side but hiring bikes was so easy at any time of the night and it was a fun activity to do. Highly recommend if you are coming to gili T!!!

Amazing hostel, very social with great staff. The rooms are very clean with comfy beds. I stayed in a dorm (3 beds). There’s a lovely orange cat just hanging around which is always a plus. There are activities every night in which people actually participate. You can also book tours with the hostel. The location is a bit far from the main area but you can always rent a bike. The sunsets from the beach in front of the hostel are just beautiful. Pool is great for chilling or just jumping and having fun, the food is delicious and drinks are definitely something you don’t want to miss out. Oh and Linda is the sweetest 🤍 Came there twice and will go again. Definitely recommend.

The location is on the opposite side of all the real action on the island, but they are on the sunset side, which kind of makes up for it. Busxairi was extremely nice and helpful and made the experience that much better. They do have a tattoo shop on site, which is convenient for those spontaneous decisions.
