Rimba Villas Gili Air

We loved our stay at Rimba Villas. It was a great quiet location, very clean but easy access to the whole island. Nothing was too difficult for the staff - they organised bikes, laundry, massages and private snorkeling trips. Absolutely would stay again!

We stayed at Rimba Villas for a month.

We are a very loud and crazy family of 4 (2 young and excitable boys). Gili Air is the total opposite of our normal London life, and we couldn’t have wished for a more magical month. Gili Air is PERFECT for families.

Rimba Villas is in a great spot – away from the main ‘high street’ yet still close to everything that you will need.

The Play Café is less than a 5 min walk and it’s an incredible place for families.

During our stay we watched sunrise and sunset regularly - locations to enjoy these are easy to reach from Rimba. The reception team are always able to recommend locations and venues if needed..although sometimes it’s nice to just explore!

The island is inhabited by the kindest people, and we always felt very welcomed and safe. Our eldest son made friends with some of the local children in the village and even joined them for a morning at school!

Rimba Villas is very calming and welcoming. The staff became like family and were so kind to us (especially to our children). From organising massages for my husband and I to calling out a doctor for our baby nothing was too much. They even helped us with a few special requests that were sourced and delivered from Lombok!

We will never forget their kindness and beautiful playfulness with our children – it really felt like a home from home.

The rooms are stylish. The villa and pool is kept very clean. The reservation team were fantastic during our booking process and again helped with some more unusual requests like a playpen and paddling pool – nothing was too much trouble.

We had the most unforgettable time on Gili Air and Rimba Villas was truly a home from home for us.

Amazing villa! Such a beautiful villa with great atmosphere. My husband and I really enjoy stay at this place. We love the design of the villa! Clean room and such a quiet place. The staff really helpful n nice to us. Definitely come back here again. One of the best stay i ever had! Thankyou so much!

The hotel is a.b.s.o.l.u.t.e.l.y amazing. We were first greeted by some welcome drinks by the nicest staffs, and we walked into our villas feeling absolutely spoilt. It’s clean, stylish, ambiance is great, a swim in the pool at night was just the perfect end to an evening. Would 100% recommend it.

This was the perfect place for our family of four (two adults, 6yo and 7yo). It was private and away from the main areas of the island, but very accessible by bicycle. The villa is better in real life than in the pictures. The staff was amazingly helpful, kind, and attentive. We also ordered the breakfast through the villa a few days during our stay and it was so good! Highly reccomended!

We had an amazing stay at Villa Bayu within Rimba Villas. It is such a beautiful and spacious property. The villa and its surroundings are very well designed, making it a very relaxing atmosphere. The Rimba Villas staff was also very helpful and ensured we had everything we needed for a great stay. Can't want to come back again!

We had the best stay at Rimba Villas! The staff were incredibly helpful and the rooms/villa spotless. We would most definitely recommend it.
It's about 15/20 minutes to get to the beach, so definitely hire the bikes they offer.
Also worth taking ear plugs (for anywhere on the island, not just Rimba) as there are a lot of cockerels on the island, as well as the Call to Prayer early.....

Rimba Villas are the best! From the moment we arrived we felt so comfortable, the gardens, the decor, the staff, the location, everything exceeded expectation. We elected to have breakfast at the villa most mornings and it was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. Gilli Air is a step back in time, hire a push bike and cycle through the meandering paths, attend a yoga class, drink cocktails at sunset and enjoy being away from the crowds on mainland Bali

You will not be disappointed by this villa. We stayed in Villa Surya for a week and absolutely loved it. The villa is relaxing, gorgeous, and clean, the perfect retreat for your next holiday. Even more impressive is the service!! Staff are very attentive and more than willing to help you with anything. The daily cleaning of the villa was seamless - staff would notice when we left for the morning and clean while we were gone. No need for do not disturb signs or telling the cleaners to come back later, there will be no interruption to your experience. So much attention to detail, warm and friendly service, mini bar always stocked, they left us wanting for nothing.
Advice for any light sleepers like me: the 4am call to prayer from the central mosque can be heard here (as with the majority of the island) so bring some ear plugs for a quiet sleep :)

We absolutely loved our stay here. It felt private and luxurious to have our own space with private pool, away from the heat and bustle of the main streets and beaches. The staff were so welcoming and kind and we felt at home. Will definitely be back!

Rimba Villa was not just an accommodation, no it was a home and we loved it. The accommodation is beautiful and unique, with all its lovely details. But what makes the accommodation is the team!!!! They grew so fond of us and organized everything for us. My daughter celebrated her thirteenth birthday and Titi and her team organized a chocolate cake and decorated the villa while we were snorkeling. They surprised my daughter with a happy birthday song and a floating breakfast. After that we went on a horse on the beach towards the sunset.

From before we actually arrived until we left the experience was 5 star!!
Titi and her staff were exceptional, they looked after every detail.
Nothing was too much and every detail was absolutely met.
We will return to this island paradise as soon as we can it was spectacular!

Wonderful stay. The staff is amazing, great people, always helpful - can arrange bikes (highly recommended), transport, trips, and kitchen stuff right in a moment. Especially thanks to Titi, her smile makes everybody else smile! It was possible to do early check in and late check out - because it's great to stay inside and enjoy the beauty of a garden :) Honestly - if you like it on photos, just take it. It's like on a picture but better;)

We spent 4 nights in Surya (the 1-bedroom villa) in July 22 and we had the most incredible stay. The cleanliness of the villa, pool and garden area was exceptional, the cleanest place we stayed throughout our stay in Indonesia. The garden area and villa have been designed very tastefully with the perfectly manicured garden giving serious tropical vibes. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, and all in all, we were very sad to be leaving.

The location is on the north west side of the island which is furthest from the harbour. It’s about a 20 minute walk to reach the villas, but only a 5 minute walk to the beaches on the west coast which we think are the nicest. It’s also the sunset side with lots of great places to drink, eat, and watch the beautiful sunset.

Some of the walkways in the middle of the island can be very dark at night so definitely bring a torch with you, but the walk way to Rimba is perfectly lit with beautiful lighting. We often ate at Mama Pizza or Lumbung and chose to walk back along the beach.

If you’re looking to scuba dive then Blue Marlin dive school is a 5 minute walk away. We dived with them on multiple occasions during our stay and would highly recommend them.

It was a super nice stay, with a fantastic villa with a private pool. The garden was well planted and you have your own outdoor bathtub. The staff are very friendly, dedicated, helpful and available 24/7. The breakfast is delicious and you can choose between different menus. Bicycles can be rented directly on site. Any time again.

We are so glad that we could stay in this resort. Our 3-bedroom villa was amazing. It is perfect choice for families. It has a huge garden area and a big pool. We had an amazing floating breakfast in our pool and it was super yummy. The beach is close, but the resort has some bicycles for free use so it’s much comfortable. This resort is higly recommended!

Stay in here for two days, but it feels like it's over so quickly.
Apart from its location which is a bit far from the port, Rimba villa turns out to give you a very satisfying stay experience while on vacation in Gili Air.
The unique Scandinavian-style interior design combined with wood and unfinished concrete makes an industrial impression but actually adds to the atmosphere of the room to be warmer and very homey.
The hotel staff who are very helpful and have good language skills will also be very helpful while on vacation in the jungle villa. Lastly, the selection of food and drinks that are quite complete with delicious flavors will make you always yearn to return to Gili Air and spend your vacation at Rimba Villa

This resort is AMAZING!! Beautiful suits and calm athmosphere. THE STUFF IS SUPER NICE! The resort has a 3 rooms suite for families with a huge garden and swimmingpool and they have 2 other villas for couples. You can have breakfast, dinner and lunch too. We tried their breakfast and had an amazing floating breakfast in the pool. I also had an amazing flower bath in the romantic villa. The resort has also bicycles for free use to explore the island. I highly recommend this resort to everyone!!

We spent 2 nights in Rimba Villas and had the most incredible time ☺ the villas are close to the beach, you can rent a bike for free. They are well equipped, very clean and comfortable. A great place to stay when visiting with friends. We would be back anytime!

Awesome and relaxing place. The room, pool and garden are just perfect (I stayed in the 1 bedroom Surya villa).

The villas are 5 minutes walk from the north beaches and a pair of dive shops. 10 minutes walk to some of the best sunset views.

With a bicycle you can reach any place on the island in 10 minutes max.
