Govt Degree College kupwara is one of the best college with good infrastructure, Teacher faculty and other things as well. Studied here for 2 years and left the college for other reasons. The road from regipora to college is not good and too narrow which makes a bit boring to reach the college.

The college is almost 100 Kms away from Srinagar and 110 Kms from Srinagar International Airport. The lush green environment and mountains there give a pristine look to the college. The picturesque view of Kupwara valley makes a tense day an ease day for anyone. The water is pure and summers are more beautiful here. The college is near mosque and has been established in 1988. The college holds a distinction among being the best institutes in valley..

The Government Degree College Kupwara (Urdu;گورنمنٹ ڈگری کالج کُپواڑہ) is a Govt. run co-educational college located in the Kupwara district in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission
The college was established in 1988 by Jammu and Kashmir's department of higher education with the aim of opening learning opportunities for the students of Kupwara. The college is affiliated with the University of Kashmir and is recognized by UGC under 2(F) and 12(B) of UGC Act, 1956.

The college started as a makeshift arrangement at Government Higher Secondary School Kupwara and quickly established a temporary campus on the river side of the school. In 2000, the college moved to its present campus, located about 1.5 km from Kupwara town in Bohipora.

It has been awarded grade "B++" by NAAC.[1] but lacks infrastructure, management.

The college is located about 97  km from Srinagar. It is about 1.5 km from Kupwara town center in Bohipora on Kupwara-Gushi road

GDC Kupwara is a great collage, is located near Nala Kahmil in a friendly atmosphere, but the road from regipora to collage is totally damaged.

this is the best collee in tetms of enrolment however, its location is far off which makes the traveltime miserable. it should have been around main town kupwara.anyway very popular college and accomodates 60 percent of districts studens
