Government Degree College Handwara (GDC Handwara) is a co-educational autonomous degree college located in Handwara town, Kupwara district, in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It was established in 1988. The college is affiliated to the University of Kashmir and offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce.

Hub of Knowledge. Faculty is good. It is located on the Highway. It is the only college in District Kupwara which has good teaching staff. In my opinion it is the no. 1 college in District Kupwara. I myself had done graduation from this college. I am fully satisfied. I highly recommend this college to the nearby students who want to go for graduation after the completion of 12th. The fee is also not too high. For whole degree you have to pay approximately 25000Rs in 3 installments. One installment duration is 2 semesters.
