Very well maintained lake

Fort Lake also known as Kote Keri as the name indicates is located next to Belgaum Fort. It is a nice place to visit with family and friends or on your own. There is a walking trail all around the lake and is quite popular in the mornings and evenings for walkers and joggers. The trail is paved and relatively well maintained with shade plants, flowering bushes and shrubs. There is a play area and joy rides for children /kids. Also there is exercise / training equipment /fixtures for adults. There is a possibility of renting peddle and row boats. An artificial island with forest trees in the middle of the lake is a mini sanctuary to birds. Also, another highlight is a giant 110 metre tall Indian flag on the banks of the lake, which is one the tallest in the country.

This lake is also very nice and like a tourist spot for locals and college girls behave very promiscuously here which should be prevented.

Next to it is the main road, little bit noisy. But the lake and the cool wind is pure comfort, definitely a go to place to have some moments of mental peace!

We went in the evening. The place is peaceful and well maintained.
The entry fee is Rs 10 for adults and Rs 5 for kids
The paddle boat is fun but also tiring. The cost is Rs 60 per head for 30 mins.
It's a lovely place to spend the evening.
