Belagavi Airport

Amazing airport under UDAN scheme. Very clean and nicely maintained place. Built with keeping future in mind if need expansion. Less crowded and smaller queues it's approx 12 km from city, so view during monsoon is amazing. Really liked placement and size of our national flag, it's making place look perfect.

Neat small airport with only space for 5 planes to park.
Hardly any planes land here , mostly dominated by Star air direct service to Mumbai ahmedabad and Nagpur from Belgaum
There’s only one shop outside the airport called Aaditya milk that has bottled water , ice creams , yogurt and milk
Airport connects to Hubli city in 1.5 hours

Small, beautiful airport. Security check staff, baggage screening staff, Indigo check-in counter staff... all were very courteous. A big thumbs up to them!!
The washroom in boarding area (for gents) was very neatly and cleanly maintained. However, my wife mentioned that the toilet flush in ladies washroom was not functioning....
Just a note: For boarding the aircraft, you are taken to the aircrafts by the buses, whereas, those deplaning have to walk to the terminal building.... This could be avoided....

Belgaum (now also called Belgavi) airport located in Sambra is 14 km from Bogarves circle/main city.

It's a comparatively small airport, but Sambra airport is a modern airport with all the facilities/amenities for a comfortable arrival or departure, with great staff on duty for assistance.

Snacks are available and there are clean wash rooms & sitting areas etc around.

Outside the airport, transport to the city is no problem because there are ample taxis around most of the time.

We flew in from Tirupati on 9th Dec 2022 in an Embraer EM145 at about 8:30 pm. The view was just amazing as the plane came in for landing at night.

It was really nice experience I got from star air and that staff and cabin crew also good very familiar. traveling to Ahmedabad from belagavi.

Security check is super and very humble staffs..! shouldn’t take more than 10 mins for the security check during decent rush time in Airport.

It's still a small airport growing on. It has good infrastructure and management. The staff is very good and helpful. It's growing as many new routes and plane are coming here and are going to other new places.....

Not that much big but it is very peaceful clean. All facilities are available here washroom, lift, staff behaviour good, cab, taxy, canteen.....
Wheelchair accessible parking and entrance also available here

Belgaum Airport (IATA: IXG, ICAO: VOBM), also known as Belagavi Airport, is a domestic airport serving Belgaum, Karnataka. The current integrated terminal building was inaugurated by then Minister of Civil Aviation Ashok Gajapathi Raju on 14 September 2017. Near the airport, there is an Indian Air Force station, at which new recruits receive basic training.flights from Bangalore and later added direct flights to Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad after Belgaum airport was expanded in September 2017. Spicejet served the airport till May 2018.After Hubballi airport was nominated under UDAN scheme. Spicejet shifted all its operations to Hubballi which it operated from Belgaum Airport, Airport came into operation again after Alliance Air, a subsidiary of Air India began flight services to Bangalore from 11 July 2018. This was a thrice a week flight operated by ATR 72 type aircraft. Air India began service to Bangalore with its Airbus A319 aircraft from 10 August 2018 on remaining 4 days of the week thus connecting Belgaum with Bangalore all 7 days in the week. Also this was the first arrival of Airbus A319 in Belgaum. In 2013, the Central Government cleared the expansion project.A new terminal building was inaugurated on 14 September 2017 as part of the airport expansion project. The terminal building is spread over 3,600 square metres and has a capacity to accommodate over 300 passengers. It has two baggage conveyor belts and six check-in counters. It has an apron for parking of three Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 aircraft.

It is small Airport but beautiful. It become very convenient to travel big cities of India from Belganvi. It is well maintained.

The airport is very well maintained and the staff is polite and helpful. The cafe inside serves fresh food and have CCD coffee machine as well.

Not a big airport. But well maintained. There's no large parking place available for vehicles. Need to park on the road. Washrooms were not that clean

Small as compared to Bangalore airport, but yet clean and hygienic during the pandemic situation. Airport staff were polite and helpful.
