This temple is filled with Good Vibes. Due to the popularity of Andal Temple most of the people don't know about this Temple. This Temple even more Older than Andal Temple Srivilliputhuthur, whichs around 2000s.

Best Shiva temple in the city. Ull definitely felt into a divine experience. On 01.01.2023 I visited this temple,I really felt bad about this temple.the maintenance is going on bt cleanliness and hygiene are very bad. The drainage system also badly maintained. It is one of the ancient temples in the city. We need to maintain this kind of temples.

Good Temple attracts lots of people.. However Maintenance is very poor.. Temple pond is in very very bad condition (15 years back it was a major evening attraction)

Shiva is worshiped as Vaidyanathar and his consort Parvati as Sivakami. The temple is the largest Shiva temple in the district. Shiva is worshipped as Vaidyanathar or the "God of healing". The holy water of the Siddhamirtham tank in the temple complex is believed to have curative effects, and a holy dip here is believed to cure all diseases. The temple was built by Thirumalai Nayak during the 16th century.The temple has artistic sculptures representative of Nayak art.

Most of people only know srivilliputhur means andal temple. Vaidyanatha swamy is Sivan temple which is a more old temple in srivilliputhur. It is located 2 km from srivilliputhur bus stand. There are 2 pits (kulam) near this temple. Temple is situated rajapalayam main road. Temple timing is morning 5 AM to 12 PM and 4 PM to 8 PM.

Very beautiful old Shiva temple in srivilliputhur.opposite to the temple there is a huge pond full of fresh water, you can take bath and refresh yourself.this temple is one of the oldest temple and agathiya munivar visited this temple during his period.

Big ancient temple. 500 - 1000 old. It is an agreed fact that it is rebirth to a woman delivering a child. There is no second opinion about this fact. All pray to the almighty for a safe and normal delivery. The temple is opened from 6.00 a.m. to 12.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. Once, king Thirumalai Naicker was suffering from acute stomach pain. Hearing about the grace of Vaidhyanathaswami, he set out to Madavar Valagam in his ivory palanquin, stayed in the temple campus for 48 days. He was completely cured of the stomach pain. A staunch devotee of lord Siva was living here with his devout wife.
King Thirumalai Naicker took up the practice of having his food only after the midday Pooja (Uchikala pooja) in Madavar valagam. For this, he constructed a line of halls from Madavar valagam up to Madurai from where the communication would reach him through drums in each hall. The king would take his lunch only when the sound reaches Madurai. The stone halls could be seen even today on the Srivilliputhur Madurai highways. should be renovated.

Cleanless and the swami statue are not properly maintained.all dried vilva leaves are around the god nearly one month.
