Jaguar Hideout - Camping and Glamping

Beautiful, chill space above of the tea plantations. Incredible views for sunrise and sunset. And that is just the expected part! Meeting Charles ... The man, the myth , the legend! how is it possible to compress so much energy, creativity, a good heart and an adventure seeking nature all into one person without ending up with a crazy person? Well maybe a little crazy😉 we had an amazing stay and would gladly return to see what other new projects he will create!

Kolukkumalai trek was one of the best and most unforgettable trips I've ever had with my friends. We went there 2 years ago.

Our buddy Carlson and the entire team at Jaguar Hideout made our trip truly comfortable. The music, campfire, trek, tent stay, and the breathtaking sunrise were all amazing.

However, the bathroom facilities could have been better, but other than that, everything was top-notch.

We highly recommend him and his gem of a place, the Jaguar Hideout- 2090m above sea level. It was one of our highlights in 3 years world travelling, because it offers something for everybody: from chillin' in a hammock to stunning sunrise or trekking in the tea plantages🍃.
Charles himself also is a very genuine and inspiring person, with a heart of gold. Make the little extra mile, rather than staying in the overcrowded and touristic Munnar and get rewarded with an authentic experience in one of the most beautiful nature areas of India ♥.

One of the best camping experiences was provided by Jaguar Hideout. From the pickup point to the drop point, everything was well-organized and well-maintained. I want to express my gratitude to Charles, Adi, and Ajith for providing an exceptional experience.

The positive aspects of the experience include:

1. Treks: Engaging in sunrise trek, sunset trek, and waterfall trek was truly memorable.
2. Food & Snacks: The meals and snacks were fresh and hygienic, enhancing the overall camping experience.
3. Survival Skills: The team guided us on how to live with minimal resources, helping us disconnect from the constant buzz of mobile devices.
4. Experienced Guides: The presence of well-experienced trekkers as guides added to the safety and enjoyment of the adventure.
5. Hidden Gems Exploration: The team assisted us in exploring the hidden gems of Kollukkumalai.

However, there are a few concerns:

1. Toilets: The structure of the toilets could have been better for a more comfortable experience.
2. Charging Ports: There was a shortage of charging ports, which could be improved for the convenience of the campers.

This was a really rewarding experience, Charlson and his team work really hard to provide a special stay. Lovely food, beautiful views from the camp, great tents, campfire songs, and hikes around the hideout. One of my favourite things I did in India

Experience kolukumala at its beauty with this peaceful stay. They have various activities, and Charles will lift your moods with his musical magic.

Coolest place near Suryanelli. The staff is kind, accommodating, and very knowledgeable about the land, the local plants and wildlife. Well-guided hikes and comfortable camping-they have all the gear set up. Great hosts… :) will definitely be back.

My experience in the camping was amazing. The facilites are great, and Charles and his team was taking care about every single detail. They took us to an amazing sunrise trek and help us to live a local experience in the tee gardens. Also I would like to point out that the food and breakfast were amazing! We are sure we will came back.
