The best ever long drive one can enjoy through the bandipur jungle road. To reach ooty from Mysore you need to cross this area which is ultimate scenic and peaceful. You’ll be seeing all the wild animals in the both sides of the road minding their own business peacefully. You’re not allowed to stop or com down from the car. Sighting of Tiger in the road is very very rare. For that you can opt for safari arranged by forest department. Please don’t feed animals on your way through the jungle. Drive safely as you might see peacock and moneys mainly standing in middle or very side of the road. Sighting of flocks of deer, elephant, peacock , bison , gaur, monkeys are very common and frequent. Please be mindful and responsible. You will love the place

Excellent place to visit. You are definitely poised for treasure for your eyes with animals in their natural habitat. You will get to see lots of beautiful birds for sure. Elephant herds. You will be lucky to have a sighting of tiger. We visited around 5 PM and it was cloudy and didn’t have a chance or luck for signs of tiger.
Highly recommend carrying a camera for treasurers later.

The Safari Project given by Government of India has very uncommon nowadays.
It's wildlife around every city is At Rescue at Safari's.
Have to decrease Human Population, will lead to Increase in other Life on Earth. So, by Balanced Lifestyle only free to engage with other Lifes.

It was an enjoyable experience. We got to see a lot of animals. But we didn't get to see a tiger. The best times to visit are in the morning. Also, I would recommend pre-purchasing the tickets online to avoid standing in queue for 40-50 minutes. Each ticket costs ₹600. And the safari would be in a 16-seater bus with a guide.

It was so great to do Jungle Safari in Bandipura Forest. So many deers and elephants sightings. Morning (6-9AM) and Evening (3-6PM) bus, camper and gypsy rides available.

BANDIPUR NATIONAL PARK

Bandipur National Park second highest Tiger population in India. Bandipur National Park is located in Gundulpet taluk, Chamarajanagar district. Park is the part of Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve making it largest protected area in Southern India and largest habitant of Wild Elephants in South Asia.

Bandipur National Park shares its boundary with 3 other National park namely Nagarahole National Park, Wayanad National Park and Mudumalai National park. There is ban of traffic from 9 PM to 6 AM of dusk to dawn to help to drawn down the death rate of wildlife.

Tigers, Indian Elephants, Leopard, Dhole, Sambar, Sloth bear, Chital many more animals and Birds can be spotted in the Bandipur National park.

Huge forest area to explore. Houses around 200 tigers and another set of numbers for leopards/ sloth bears. Safari is worth it. The terrain has trees which aren’t very tall and mostly dry as we visited in March. Keep your eyes open to spot from tiny little bits to huge big beauties.
Safari can be booked on spot as well. We were lucky to have another couple looking for a open gypsy ride and five of us could make for an afternoon safari.
While booking online, do mention the number of people on board to avoid paying for all the seats in a gypsy.

Well maintained rooms and good service
Good tasty food
Many deers , monkeys and wild boars can be seen very often inside the campus.
Safari was also good but seeing animals during Safari is would be based on your luck.
Luckily we could see some animals.

Rooms @1600 per day multiple options to choose from but online only;
Rooms and bathrooms are very clean;
Electricity is there from 6:00pm to 11:00 am only but the rooms are cool through out the day;
Although limited food options but good quality food.
Leapord roams around so keep a strict eye on kids and don't venture out unnecessarily.
Jeep Safari and bus Safari both are amazing but better to book online and reserve your slots.

Undoubtedly the best place for tiger safari. Please stay only in JLR. The service and excellence would be just amazing. I visit here every alternate month. If you want to see tigers visit by October, February and March till May end. Bandipur is very famous for leopards too. You can take canter or jeep safari. If in JLR all safaris food and stay are taken care of.

It's a huge forest with very little chance to see a tiger.

The location to safari is wrong, search for "Bandipura national park starting point" on Google maps. It will directly lead you to the jeep and bus station for the safari.

One of the best forest I have visited till now. I have only crossed this reserved forest while going to ooty. We entered d forest at 06:00 am as gates open at that time only. You will get little traffic at opening time of gate due to waiting people/cars from night. Speed is limited as you can’t overtake bcz of narrow road. Its worth to visit as its one of the largest national park. We got the chance to see roaming deers. The weather was perfect and really refreshing.

Great visit here in November. Was lucky to see tiger and leopard after several visits over twenty years. Safari drivers did a good job of locating the animals. Facilities are a little dated, but still acceptable. An India government managed experience.

Best time to visit in the Winter time.. Able to see lot of Deers, Elephants..
