This is one of the best places to spend some time if there is no traffic on the ghat. In monsoon, it turns into heaven, one of the best of you love to see sunsets . Once you reach on top, the roads are narrow. If you are visiting in monsoon, you'll see many waterfalls along the way and a lot of stalls where you can have some tea and snacks.
Make sure to ride/ drive safely on ghats and keep your speed low. Happy travelling ✨

The place is a picturesque paradise, with lush green slopes covered in a vibrant tapestry of greenery. Crystal-clear streams meander through the hills, their soothing sounds harmonizing. Truly breathtaking taking view with a charming contrast to the grandeur of nature. Amazing place for sightseeing and enjoying nature.

Best ghat to explore in rainy season…its turns n twists and amazing valley view its more beautiful… there are many points on this ghat..Amboli waterfall and mahadev gadh,kavalshet point, hiranyakeshi temple, baba waterfalls..All places are nearby to ghat…

I have done Mumbai to Goa Bike ride via Amboli Ghat.. The roads are not that good but the Ghat view is really Amazing.. Enjoyed visiting here. If u are taking our vehicle drive or ride carefully. Highly recommended👍

Lovely hilly area of western Ghats in India. Not very high rise hills, have a rich greener cover. Nice motorable roads cris crossing smll villages. Lovely view spots for the lake below. Good access to Goa, till highways are under renovation

Awesome must visit waterfall, stairs access allows to reach near the base of fall although gets slippery during monsoon, extra caution required while stepping on stones.

Amboli Ghat is full of lush green landscape and beautiful scenery on your way to Goa via Sawantwadi. Definitely need to spend few minutes and absorb it's calmness.

Warning ⚠ - Please be extra precautious during rainy season as the grill besides roads are very weak and can take you straight inside valley while you dangerously click selfies

It's very twisty turny while driving, but the views make up for it. There's a small tea and snack stall too.

Scienic beauty natural waterfalls in the rainy season

Amboli ghat is very scenic during rainy season.... you will find beautiful waterfalls enroute... Atmosphere is foggy and you ll surely enjoy it... You must visit Kavalesad point while visiting Amboli ghat.. sharing some of the pics.

This is a really awesome ghat for driving would recommend to travel via this ghat if you are going from Pune but you can return via Tillari ghat but it is very dangerous ghat so best to let a experienced driver drive the vehicle on this ghat.

Wonderful hill station in Sindhudurg. Nicely placed enroute kolhapur Sawantwadi road. Offers nice chilly weather throughout the year. Landscapes offered here are wonderful. kavlesaad, mahadevgad are a must visit spots. During monsoons this has many waterfalls in valley attracting tourists from all around.

P.S. - local governments must work on the roads enroute tourist spots to keep this very accessible destination for all.

Good place to visit. Only 2 hours away from North Goa. There is a popular viewpoint with many shops where people stop for a break. There a second viewpoint higher up near a temple and that is not crowded. View is pretty amazing.

This ghat receives heavy rainfall and is surrounded by thick forest, waterfalls and beautiful natural landscape.[1] This ghat is one of the tourist attractions in Maharashtra. On 31 July 2017, two travelers died after falling into a 2,000 feet deep valley in Amboli Ghat while trying to take a selfie. We visited the place in april as we were traveling to kolhapur and back to goa, one should avoid taking risky selfies as in the past many deaths have occurred, one should travel during day time as during night time the visibility is extremely low as there are no Street lights on the road, roads are in ok condition but make sure u be your lane as some foolish drivers overtake anyway and put others life in danger, also there have been rock falls during the rainy season so please be careful, during rainy season this place is like heaven, people from Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka rush here to see the scenic beauty, during rainy season there are many water falls which drys out during summer so pls do visit during rainy season thank you
