Archaeological Museum, Ratnagiri

This is the most famous Buddhist pilgrim site in odisha. Famous for its ancient sculptures, coins and other things excavated from near by areas and are related to buddhist followers. The museum is truly huge and has all kind of amenities. Must visit this place if some one has deep interest in Buddhism.

This is very good place .managed by Odisha tourism . This place known as Budhha Asram where thousands of Bhudha face exists even still inside the earth...every year extraction happening from ground to get new statues and Buddha samples ..attached few samples..

1. A brilliantly curated small museum with well maintained corridor and display areas.
2. People hungry for knowledge about Buddhist Monasteries and Buddhist religion in pre-medieval times may surprise themselves with a gala treat the moment they arrive here.
3. Entry ticket price is very cheap and it is Rs 20/- only for indians if I am not wrong.
4. A decent restaurant is also across the street where tourists can eat well after a long visit to the Ratnagiri hills and the museum.

It's very nice to visit there. A large collection of ancient sculptures excaved from nearby archaeological sites, mostly buddhist statues and artifacts. The museum is very neat and clean and located just beside ratnagiri stupa.

its a beautiful buddhist place in odisha,this place is preferable for kids,students and family to enjoy park and meseum.

many people prefer to visit this place during winter session and during raja festival.

There are special stone and bronze sculptures which belong to the tantric Buddhist Vajrayana which are special treasures that the museum holds. There are many different types of antiquities, including stupas, sculptures in bronze, stone, ivory and copper. Visitors will also find small but eye-catching objects like decorated bands, glass bangles, coins and ornaments, among many other items. The museum houses various sculptures of Buddha, Jambhala and Tara in different poses.

Well maintained museum of Buddhism culture...There are a lot of sculptures of Buddha.. The environment and the place is neat clean and nice.. It's located near the Ratnagiri Monastery, so there is no problem to find this place..

The museum has an excellent collection of Buddhist artefacts and sculptures excavated in the Ratnagiri region. It is very well maintained and the staff are helpful. The museum has four display galleries which showcase artefacts of different eras and categories. It is a must visit if you are interested in the history and spread of Buddhism and are visiting the Ratnagiri monastery.

This museum proof that Jajpur district had beloved to all religion . Here is cool and dry atmosphere also it based at rural sector which gives a natural fillings of peace.

Ratnagiri museum is the best museum of this three Buddhist site. Here you could find a wide variety of Buddhist sculptures. To me the best Buddha moorty is here. Photography not allow even they don't have postcard pictures. Btw the museum is very well maintained . Thankyou
