Jay Baladev Jew 🙏
I visited Baladev Jew Temple Kendrapara, a famous temple of Odisha dedicated to Lord Balarama, during my trip to Ichhapur. It was a memorable experience for me as I got to witness the beauty and serenity of this sacred place.

The temple is located about 5 km from Kendrapara town and is easily accessible by road. There is a large parking area near the temple where you can park your vehicle. The temple complex has a boundary wall and a garden around it. There are several small temples inside the complex where you can worship other gods and goddesses.

The main temple is 75 feet high and 40 feet wide and has a magnificent architecture. The temple has a seven-step construction and is made of heavy stone. The main deity of the temple is Lord Balarama, who is also known as Baladevjew. He is worshipped along with his brother Lord Jagannath and sister Goddess Subhadra on the Ratna Sinhasan (Gem Throne) in the main temple. There is also an idol of Tulasi as a goddess in a seated position after the sacred seven steps.

The temple has a peaceful atmosphere and a rich history. It was built in 1761 AD during the Maratha rule in Odisha. It is believed that the temple was demolished by the Mughals in 1661 and the deities were hidden in a secret place. Later, they were brought back to the present temple by the devotees. The temple is also known as Tulasi Kshetra, which means the place of Tulasi. Tulasi is a sacred plant that is considered as a manifestation of Goddess Lakshmi.

The temple has various rituals and festivals throughout the year. The most important festival is the Rath Yatra, which is also known as Srigundicha and Bahudajatra. During this festival, the three deities are taken on a chariot to the Gundicha temple, which is about 2 km away from the main temple. The chariot is known as Brahma Taladhwaja Rath and is the biggest chariot in the world. The festival attracts thousands of devotees and tourists who come to see the grand procession and pull the chariot.

The temple also offers various services and facilities to the visitors. There is a visitor center where you can get information and guidance about the temple. There are also restrooms, drinking water, and first aid facilities available. The temple has a Yatri Niwas where you can book a room for your stay. The temple also provides food to the devotees in the form of prasad. The main prasad of the temple is Rasabali, which is a sweet dish made of cheese and milk.

I would highly recommend visiting Baladev Jew Temple Kendrapara to anyone who is interested in Hindu culture and spirituality. It is a place where you can feel the divine presence and get a glimpse of the glorious past. It is a place where you can find peace and happiness. It is a place where you can experience the true essence of Odisha.

Baladevjew temple is situated in Ichhapur, Kendrapara, Odisha. This temple is dedicated to Lord Balabhadra, elder brother of Lord Jagannath and Devi Subhadra and was built by King of Kujanga,Raja Gopal Sandha and landlord of Chhedarah Killah, Srinivas Narendra Mahapatra. Kendrapara is also known as "Tulasi Kshetra". There is an epic behind the temple that Lord Balaram killed "Kandarasura" here and then married his daughter Tulasi and then settled here . And since then the place is known as Kendrapara (Tulasi Khetra). Sidhha Baladevjew is worshiped along with Lord Jagannath and Devi Subhadra. Devotees crown here to worship. It's such a peaceful place where soul of both God and Devotees meet with each other. Rasabali and Potalipitha (one type of prasad) are offered to Prabhu Balabhadra. Abhada Mahaprasad is also available here.
Outside paid parking areas are available. Old sweet shops which have Rasabali, Potalipitha are in front of the temple.
Must visit on Sankranti days, you'd definitely love the environment of the temple.
Rathyatra is the main festival of this temple 🛕🙏

The TULASI KSHETRA . It's is the place of divinity. Here Lord Baladev is mainly worshipped, though He is with Maa Subhadra and Lord Jagannath. It's known as Baladev Jew temple. Though these few words can not describe the divinity of this place, but you need to visit the place to feel the magic of this place.

🌸~ 9 kms from Cuttack Chandabali Highway
🌸Located in Tulsi Khetra & as the name suggests the whole area has that sweet fragrance of Tulsi everywhere even though this temple is dedicated to Lord Baldev.
🌸Lord Baldev along with his brother & sister gets worshipped here every day & an interesting fact about him is his idol is a little taller than Lord Jagannath's (Unlike Puri Mandir's)
🌸 Temple premises are neat & well maintained.
🌸 Other Small temples besides the main temple are a must visit.
🌸 Rasabali (one of the famous Odia Sweet Dishes) is offered here as Prasad.
