Beyt dwarka is the place where lord Krishan and Sudama meet. It's situated on the Island. Recently the bridge opened to go through vehicles. Otherwise you have to go through the passenger boats, in which A100 of people sit on boat. The ticket price was 20 RS per person. The temple is great with different stories. Great place to visit and feel the spirituality.

Beyt Dwarakadhish Temple is approximately 30 km away from the Dwarakashish Temple on a small island now connected to the mainland by the Sudarshan Sethu.

It is believed that Beyt Dwaraka was the residence of Lord Krishna when he arrived from Braj from Uttar Pradesh. The temple was believed to be established by Guru Vallabhacharya. It is also believed that Lord Krishna received his friend Sudama (Kuchelan) here.

The temple is beautiful and will give you a spiritual uplifting on your visit.  We visited after the inauguration of the Sudarshan Sethu, India’s longest cable bridge linking the island to the mainland.  There are enough parking spaces provided which is well conceived by the authorities.  The temple is approximately 2km from the parking location and there are many electric autoriskaws available to take you to thr temple and back for a nominal charge.

For photography enthusiasts, this location is a treasure trove, offering captivating scenes that beautifully capture the essence of spirituality and the maritime setting. There is a person who makes you wait and tells you the story and significane of the temple. In the end very smartly by playing on your emotions tries to make you donate money.

The temple premises should be clean. The crowd should be maintained properly.
The condition of the toilets is pathetic.
The temple committee should focus on the outer premises of the temple along with the interior.

It's really beautiful. Phones are not allowed inside the temple so we couldn't record what we saw there. Temple went through lots of renovations and still going on. Still some remains of old walls are preserved they are really beautiful. Must go there.

Bet Dwarka or Beyt Dwarka is an extremely sacred pilgrimage destination as it is believed to be the original home of Lord Krishna during his ruling years at Dwarka. It is said that lord Krishna resided with his family at Bet Dwarka. The place derived its name from the word 'beyt' which means meeting and this is the place where Sudhama came to meet his friend Lord Krishna. Beyt Dwarka is also mentioned in the ancient epic, 'Mahabharata' as 'Antardvipa' to which people of the Yadava clan needed to travel by boat. The island is also known as Shankhodhar as the island is source of conch shells.

Shri Beyt Dwarkadhish Temple is located in Beyt Dwarka, Gujarat at a distance of 150 Kms from Jamnagar.

Bet Dwarka iis one of The Panch Dwarka Temples in Gujarat or a pilgrimage to the 5 abodes of Lord Krishna Situated around 30 km from the main town of Dwarka, Beyt Island Bet Dwarka is also known as Shankhodar which is a moderately populated island lying in the mouth of Gulf of Kutch that is 3 km away from the Okha coast of Gujarat. It is an island around 30 km from the present-day city of Dwarka and is technically in the Gulf of Kutch. The island is just 2 km wide and 8 km long. It is believed to be the home of Lord Krishna when he was the king of Dwarka. It was here where Lord Krishna partook the grains of rice with his friend Sudama. It is largely renowned for the Beyt Dwarka temple.

Bet Dwarka is mentioned prominently in Skanda Purana and Mahabharata. Historians and scholars have identified Bet Dwarka as the place where members of the Yadav clan travel to by boats. There are many beautiful temples like Dwarkadhish temple and Keshav Ji temple in Bet Dwarka. Many devotees throng to Hanuman Dandi and Mahaprabhu Bethak which are also major places of worship.

As per Legend, Dwarka City is on the mainland while Bet Dwarka is on an island. Mythologically, Dwarka was where the ruling palace of Lord Krishna was while Bet Dwarka was the location of his residential palace. The island is considered to be the place where Krishna got a gift (Bet) from his childhood friend Sudama. As per the legend, Sudama and Sri Krishna studied in the same gurukul as children. While Krishna became the royal leader of Yadavas, Sudama remained a poor Brahmin. His poverty had reached a low and that is when decided to visit his friend Krishna – hoping that he will help him.

As a gift, all he could afford were the last few grains of rice. He scraped those and gave them to Krishna – who welcomed him with warmth and honor. Sudama felt so blessed with the reception that he refrained from asking for any help. However, when returned back home, he discovered that Krishna had already sent help. His humble hut was now a mansion.

Archaeological finds on the island - Several artifacts including pottery and coins have been unearthed here and quite a few of them date back to the Harappan age. There are a few that even belong to the Mauryan empire. Several ancient ship anchors have been recovered near the island that point to active trade relations with the Romans. Sometime in the 1980s, remains of a lost city were found underwater near Bet Dwarka.

Sri Krishna temple on Beyt Dwarka Island - The idol that resides in this main shrine is said to have been made by Rukmini – Sri Krishna’s main queen and wife. She is said to have made this over 5000 years ago, after his death. 500 years ago, this idol was established in its present spot by a renowned philosopher – Vallabhacharya. It is believed that Bet Dwarka Mandir is where the original residence of Sri Krishna was on Bet Dwarka.

Quite like the rituals in the Jagat temple, there are numerous poojas and aartis performed throughout the day in this temple. The idol of Sri Krishna is dressed for various occasions – like his bedtime, playtime, time that he leaves for Dwarka etc. His life is re-created through elaborate scenes in the shrine.

An interesting ritual surrounding this Krishna shrine is that one can offer rice to the Lord. This goes back to the original Bet Dwarka story where his friend Sudama offered rice to him as his gift. It is believed that by doing so, one gets rewarded in the same manner as Krishna rewarded his friend.

The current temple complex has shrines for three of his most important queens – Rukmini, Jambavati and Satyabhama. Besides these queens, there is one separate structure and temple dedicated to Radha. The Radha temple is called Golak Mata temple The temple itself is outside the circle of shrines in the main Krishna temple.
