It's managed professionally and their cook is an excellent one. After a hard days work (morning & evening boat ride and photography), you need to have warm, tasty as well as hygienic food on your platter. Cost is way too cheap considering the photos you get and by comparing with other wildlife safaris. The bathrooms are well maintained and toilets work perfectly in this remote location. Only thing they need to take care of is the water monitor scrubbing walls at night.

It seemed i stayed in a home, nested around a place with big trees and birds. The hotel people are helpful, Manager, Mr. Rabindra has knowledge of surrounding areas. He suggests many alternative small beautiful places.

Excellent resort to stay while you are exploring Chilika. Located in a remote village in Mangalajodi which is approx. 70 kms from Bhubaneshwar and 30 kms from Barkul, you need to get to a small town named Tangi on NH 5 and then approx 3 kms to Mangalajodi. Very efficient and warm staff who are well aware of the ecological features of Chilika and they also help arrange a birding boat trip. Very tasty food served hot and the menu is discussed with you in advance so that you can give in your preferences.
