I visited the temple 3 times and it is the most underrated temple in odisha..many people also don't know about the place one of the most famous places of odisha but the view of the temple, the architect and the view is also awesome 👍

Maa Ugratara Temple is Odisha's Most popular Oldest “Shakti Pitha” This temple is located in between Rameswar Chowk and Chandpur. Goddess Durga worshipped in this temple in the form of Ugratara. The idol of Mother Tara is Chaturbhuja, holding potent weapons in her hands. She is very popular as Ugratara and benevolence to the adorers. A sacred and religious place surrounded by 12 mountains is Maa Ugratara Temple. The Peetha of Ugratara is one of the unique Peethas not only in India but all over the world. Maa Ugra Tara, locally known as Tarade, is the famous deity of Khordha district.

It is a Great Temple of Ma Ugra-Tara . It is almost 700-800 Meter away from Bhusandpur Railway Station. If someone plans to come Mangalajodi, he / she may come through this place also. It well reputed place in Orissa and nearby. Normally, it is crowded and more in Winter Season when a lots of Groups and Families come here for Picnic. A must visit place when someone comes to Mangalajodi.

Maa ugratara temple power full god...best place for picnic.

Hardly an hour ride from Bhubaneswar. This temple is one of the famous Shakti peethas in India. Well maintained by the staffs and temple administration. A variety of Pujas, Homas are done here on daily basis by devotees. Fish fry with rice is served here as Prasad. Parking space available near the entrance. Drinking water facility is available near the main temple. Gets crowded on Saturdays and Tuesdays.

- Anna Prasadam is avaiable - Very simple prasadam consisting of anna, dalma, saaga muga, khatta - Rs 60 per person.
- Ample Space for Parking - Try parking as close to the main temple gate as you can.

Considerations -
------------------
- Google map fails to direct to the temple correctly. It could be because road work is going on. (If the left exit out of the highway is blocked, you have to travel overbridge and take a u-turn to the left to find the entry road to the temple)
- During festivals please expect very long queues.
- Senior Citizens Friendly (4/5) - There are around 20 steps to reach the main sanctum of the temple. And the temple itself is around 100 metres from the entry gate. No wheelchairs available as per my knowledge.

Must visit place. On the way from Bhubaneswar to Behrampur, Maa Ugratara temple is situated on the area of Busandpur. Very sacred place. Take blessing of Devi Ugratara.

One of the Shakti Peetha of Odisha where goddess ugratara is getting worshipped. Good place with clean atmosphere and toilet. Beware of the monkeys as they can take away your stuffs. Overall it’s a great place with great ambiance. However the temple pond needs attention as it is in very bad condition. Odisha tourism should pay attention to that part.
