The Kollidam is referred to as Coleroon in Colonial English. The floodplain of Cauvery is known as Kollidam.
We the local boys are used to play cricket in the middle of kollidam river located nearby Thirumanur. Here, We play and organise Tournaments too to entertain others and bring themselves to enjoy what we have been holding..
These pictures were shot by one fine morning we played on.🌞
During north east monsoon, kollidam having just above water flow than what you see now.
In rarest occasion, kollidam facing flood while only high level water flow happening in Cauvery river.

Kaveri river called as kollidam river by TN rural people.it has spread overall 416 kms in tamilnadu.cuddalore district.finally it ends in kollidam and mixed with chloa coastnear by an ancient port KAVERI POMPATTINAM.

Kollidum barrage full till 22/8. But that night it got washed away. 182 years old barrage got damaged suddenly. Even on 22/8 I visited the same location with my friend. But a sad news in the night.
