Nagarahole national park Safari

Great experience here. Not so much crowded. Safari fee is Rs. 450.00. Duration one and half hour. Morning 2 safari, evening 2. Recommend for online safari booking to avoid unwanted situation.

We booked our tickets for the jeep safari through there website and got lunch in a little restaurant just outside the entrance (lovely food for a good price, check it out!). A guide drove up to us and told us when to be at the entrance and it was smooth sailing from then on. We left at exactly 3pm and enjoyed a little over three hours of driving through an amazing forest with loads of wildlife. The guide started slowly and allowed for a lot of time with the first group of elephants we encountered, allowing us to ease into it. It was a great mixture of information about the animals we saw and sitting in silence to enjoy the sounds of nature.

Wonder safari ride thr driver did not speak too much since loud sounds would make the animals go deeper into the jungle. The safari was about an hour and a half. Be prepared to get close to the elephants.

Nice experience but safari duration is very short it's should be atleast 3 hr time

Always Nagarahole Tiger Reserve gives one of the best experiences in the forest. Don't stop the vehicle, throw plastic and feed animals. Two wheeler is not allowed in the reserve forest.

V green expa se at this time of year...saw many many chital deers, some peacocks, langurs, monkeys. Wished for elephant and tiger...maybe next time. Roads r done great, smooth and we'll maintained.

The road to kutta is awesome. More chances to f seeing wildlife on the road itself. The govt run Safari is no longer available due to covid. There are private firms doing them currently but do your research before availing the same. People are asking 2500 per head for the Safari whereas govt run ones were priced at 500rs per head. Also chances of seeing wildlife depends heavily on weather and the timings. This forest have more tiger and elephant population inside.
We didn't opt the Pvt run Safari. Instead went through the forest road 3 times in total lol 😆 yeah and it was totally worth it. Saw 2 herds of elephants during the third time while we were returning. (Hunsur - kutta road)

Drive slowly and scout the forest, it will surprise you 💓

One most beautiful tiger reserve national park in India. If we have like we can see many animals, birds and snakes etc. Select morning section for jungle safari it's get opportunity to get see many animals and many birds. Some times it's a risky game but if you got a super guide you can manage all things.

The Safari timing we went for was 6AM in the morning. It was kind of foggy during Dec and very cold. So one can opt for the 7:30AM one. We took a jeep ride and spotted a black bear and her cubs, herds of spotted deer, Sambar deer and even bisons.

Last safari is at 4pm. So plan accordingly. We couldnt enter the safari as it was too crowded at 4 so had to go back. Better go in morning itself. In the way we saw n number of deer and some burds including peacock

A must visit national park and tiger reserve.

Morning vibes are awesome..forest ambiance, birds sound and animals..it is an another experience. Anyway I didn’t see any elephant.

Safari is closed till december as per spoken to the guard.
But one can take the main road between the forest free of cost and can watch few animals on road side in the evening times. Be careful while driving because you might find sudden crossing by deers on road.
Also Stoping and getting down from the vehicle is prohibited.

Private Safaris are available with higher costs.

Times are 6am to 9am or 3pm to 5pm if you plan to visit reach early hrs , so that you can get in first vehical and have probability of seeing more wild animals adults in bus are 350 and kids 175 rs, forest rangers are helpful, all the best for your luck to see wild animals i have seen elephant, dear, peacocks

My driver and guide Srikanth was fantastic.

They are locals and they exactly know the forest.

Good jungle ride. Safari vehicle drivers can be given walkie Talkie to share info on animal sighting so that it helps all who come to visit.

Very beautiful place, we meet many animals while going

1. Must visit place for nature lovers.
2. Safari adds to the excitement. Plan for early morning safaris for increased chances of animal sighting.
3. For bus its 450 per head and for jeep it came around 850.
4. No eateries nearby.
5. No stop zone in the forest for private vehicles. Pls adhere to the rules and do not diaturb the wild life.
6. End to end it takes about an hour to reach which is also the rule there.
7. Let us respect the place and avoid littering.
