Subbanna Mirchi Masala

A traditional snack eatery of the locals - Mandakki, Mirchi, Nargis are the star items of this outlet & also Tea is available. If you are from North Karnataka then these names are not new. For the ones who don't know - Mandakki is puffed rice soaked in water & later mixed with simple tadka of onion, green chilli & later sprinkled with roasted Bengal gram powder. It's a very simple snack preferred as breakfast or as the evening snack. This dish available here was one of the best prepared item which I would strongly recommend to everyone visiting this outlet. Similarly, Mirchi is a well known item to all, again a well prepared item not to be missed.
Nargis is something which I don't know on how it got it's name but it would be good to know someday. As the dish is concerned it's also a puffed rice which is dry. It has slight masala which would go well with tea. Locals love it. Don't expect much in terms of service as there's hardly any space to stand. But a memorable experience, not be missed.

I don't mind calling this a point of interest in the city's culinary map. This is a must visit spot if you are an avid foodie who wants to explore the local specialities of the places you visit.

The owner's charm and the way he engages with customers and his staff during the business hours is very nice.

I tasted all their mandakki servings -- oggarenne mandakki, nargis mandakki, and khaara mandakki. The mirchi bajjis make a perfect combination for the three types of mandakki.

I travel 60kms once or twice a week just to taste the mandakki and hot mirchi served here. One of my most favorite food stall .

Mirchi bajji, nargis mandakki, Thoisidh Mandakki is all i had here and these were amazing. My first time having mandakki in davangere and it's amazingggg. Still crave for it everytime I see a photo.

A very tiny and legendry eatery at Davangere. It is located at a walkable distance from the main Bus stand. Very delicious variety of mandakki available. Nargis mandakki is good in taste and mirchi baji as well. Worth the visit

Famous for mirchi mandakki in Davanagere. Oggarane mandakki is very delicious and tasty here. Very old shop and mostly crowded in evenings.

Small hotel cheap hotel good mandakki menasinakayi available, taste is super ,Nargis is also available. Good to have Parcels from here and eat @ home because of surrounding Atmosphere. Beside only bar is there, Hygiene not maintained up to mark. Mixture mysorepack and other sweets available Ambude is also available. Take Parcels and enjoy at your home or else where
