Manalar Waterfalls(achankoil)

Manalar Waterfalls is a calm spot with a nice vibe and not too many people. We tried going to Kumbavuruty waterfalls, but it was closed for repairs. So, we ended up at Manalar waterfalls. There’s not much parking space, and we had to pay to park on the street. It’s a chill place with few tourists and enough water to unwind.

We went here as the nearby Kumbavarutty falls entry was closed due to some technical issues. The track through the forest ~750m was really adventurous which we enjoyed. The stream will accompany us directly to the waterfall which is present in multiple levels.
Getting into the bottom one was not an easy one and all family members couldn't get in. Also we didn't walk to the above fall which is closeby due to time constraints.
Overall we enjoyed the monsoon experience in the forest.

Good place to enjoy with friends/family. Go with sufficient amount of liquid cash as there is no option of digital payment accepted. Almost all mobile networks will not be available, that is to expected in such forest routes. Almost a 600 meter small trek from entry gate will make to the falls. This trek is slippery and steep, for elder people it will be a difficult to walk through. Entry ticket is ₹50 per head and car parking charges ₹75 per car. Try to reach at morning time around 9:30 AM as rush increases over time.

Very nice and safe waterfalls even for kids.
Forest guards are always on duty for security.
Our family enjoyed it well.
Entry between 9am to 2pm.

Amazing spot on the border of Kerala and Tamilnadu, take caution while driving/riding. Elephant prone path. Entry is INR 20 for adults. Staff are kind and very responsive. A small hike on a trail will lead to 2 stages of water falls.
Vehicle can be parked near the ticket counter. No change room near the falls, Worth a visit.

It's in half way to the Achankovil, Its in kerala border 40 min drive from courtalam, There are 2 falls in manalar, And a beautiful stream for kids, you can have a quality time, This place is somewhat low popular among the tourists but worth the visit

Super awesome place for bike trips. Thrill roads, amazing forest environment. Best time to visit when low crowded. Mini trekking inside forest about 600 metres. Vehicles are safely guarded outside. If u are planning for a trip, must visit this place

One of the beautiful tourist place in Kerala. Very very beautiful place. Entry ticket price is 50 Rupees per head.

If you are planning to visit Manalar,visit it during the rainy season. Parking your vehicle may be a bit difficult but it's a good place to hangout with family. You should follow the instructions from the forest guards. People are restricted to go below the waterfall but you could get a closer view.

Don't know, maybe they will open it in monsoon season.. Falls is located deep inside Achenkovil which is part of Konni reserve forest..See nature, feel nature but don't ever neglect the instructions given.. Be safe ..
