Kumbhavurutty Falls

Very nice falls.. but had to travel a bit as it is located in the interior part.. but it was worth.. can enjoy with friends and family.. even kids will enjoy as there is a small pond sort of place where they can be in water and enjoy.

There is a car parking. Need to walk lil bit to reach the falls.. we went from tamilnadu.. there was a checkpost where we had to make an entry for our car.

Pls note the police in the falls entry gate were not allowing those who were drunk..

Nice place forest officer are helpful. Lady ticket collector was kind to provide all necessary information required. Plan to be before after noon enjoy & leave by 15.00hrs so that before dark falls can leave forest area

A beautiful waterfall located 6 km east of Achankovil, 400 meters from the road. Achankovil river falls here from a height of 25 meters over a cliff. It falls in 2 layers. A well has formed at the site of the fall. Visitors can take bath here. But everyone prefers to take a bath in such a way that the water falls directly from the bottom of the first floor. Stairs have been built and handrails attached to climb up here. Soap, shampoo and oil are not allowed.

The ticket price is 50 rupees. Vehicles should be parked on the main road. Parking fee for cars is Rs.75. There is a washroom facility adjacent to the forester's office

Beautiful 😍 falls with a pond like rock structure in it. Parking place , dress changing room, toilet 🚻 and mini canteen available near ticket issue bundling. Rs. 50 per person and Rs. 75 per vehicle. Soap, oil and shampoo strictly not allowed inside. Have to walk for 5 - 10mins to Waterfalls. No dressing change facility near Waterfalls.

Such a beautiful place.
Unfortunately we had a visit during peak summer but could enjoy very little cold water. Overall a very good scenic place and nicely maintained & controlled by the forest authority.

Excellent falls. We can enjoy both falls and pool at the same time. We enjoyed a lot here than the Courtallam falls.

Now again it is temporarily closed due to the person died on flood.

Waterfalls inside achankovil forest. Nice location to enjoy nature. Entry fee of Rs. 50 per person, and Rs. 75 for car parking. Park the car on roadside, and walk 400 meters on a trail to reach the falls. Entry restricted on monsoon seasons.

Such an amazing waterfall near Thenkasi. People should try this place while visiting Coutralam. Less crowded, good parking facilities, can visit between 9 and 5.

Very beautiful water falls for family, ladies, kids and Childers will enjoy safely. They never allowed you inside. Shampoo, soaps are prohibited.
Security and maintenance is good.
But i disappointed with the entry fee 50rs/person
Whey this much fee collected.? In our Tamilnadu falls no single rupee charged. But Kerala government charged for public picnic spot. If the charges will less than it's ok.

A entirely different falls which feels like both a swimming pool and a waterfalls. Usually waterfalls are not like this one. Every Enjoyable and bit risky.....due to it deep and force of water. But One of the must visitable Spot.

It's a beautiful waterfall and is less than 7kms from Achankovil. It is easily accessible and it's good to spend some time nearby the falls. The water is cold enough to give a refreshing experience. Entry fees for adults is 50rs and 25rs for childrens. They also charges for parking vehicles.

One of the nice place to go. Earlier not much crowd. Now a days every one knows this falls. Little much rush available in the weekends. Kumbhavurutty closed by government also they opened mannalur falls in few years back. Kumbhavurutty is good compared to mannalur falls. Don't miss the fruits in that area. Still now i never eats that taste of jack fruit and pineapple fruit.

If people are more we need to wait in line for waterfalls also.

Good ambience with atmosphere. Nice beauty of nature, which is enjoyable for everyone, waterfall is also so nice. Families can visit here
